Minutes- 11/18/1941• '177 MINUTES of a'special meeting of the Board of Trusteesbof the ' Village of Cayuga #ieights held at the-Schoolhouse at 6 :00 P..M. , on November 18, 1941. 1. On this date the Board of Trustees sat for four hours. from 6:00 P.M. to 10 :00.P.M. as a Board of. Assessors 'to hear Grievances and complaints with. regard to the,'assessment; roll as prepared.by them for the year 1942, and as filed with the: Village. Clerk on October 20, 1941. 2. Complaints were received from.the following 1) From the Franklin C. Cornell Estate regarding the assessment on the property at 507 Highland Road. Bounded N- 'Knox, Wiegand, Wright, Matheson,, Walbridge E- Livermore S- 'Durand & Iroquois Road W Highland Road The claimant was represented by'C..E.'Treman who appeared in person to object to the assessment of #36,800. ACTION:r IT WAS VOTED to reduce the assessment gn.the house from 129,000 to.$27,200, making the total assessment.$35,000. 2) From Acacia Fraternity regarding the assessment on the property at 318 Highland Road. Bounded N- Williams E- Highland Road S- Driveway W- Phi Epsilon Pi The claimant was represented by Prof. G. ,F. Heuser who appeared in person to object to the assessment of 023,000. ACTION: IT WAS VOTED to reduce the assessment on the house from 017,500 to 116,500 making the total assessment 22,000... 3) From Westview Terrace, Inc. regarding the-.assessment . on the property on Country Club Road. Bounded N- Garrett, Robinson, Wilson,, Waite ' E- Baldridge, Palmer & Right of, Way : S- Country Club Road YI- Lincoln. 178 The claimant was represented by Fred A. Rogalsky who , appeared -in person'to object to the assessment of $102,000. •ACTION; IT WAS VOTED to reduce the assessment on the building. from 93,900 to $86,900, making the total assessment 095,000. 3. IT WAS VOTED, RESOLVED WHEREAS; The Village Board of Cayuga Heights, acting as assessors of the said Village according to a resolution previously adopted, have prepared an assessment roll for 1942 and filed it in duplicat e with the Clerk of the Village. prior to November 1st, 1941 and WHEREAS: The Clerk caused a notice to be published in th)e official newspaper of the Village and posted in five conspicuous places in the Village before November 8, 1941 a notice that the 1942 assessment roll was filed at his residence, 102 Northway Road, Cayuga Heights, New York., where it might be seen until November 18, 1941 and WHEREAS: On the said 18th day of November a Grievance Day was held and the said Board met from 6:00 P.M. until 10 :00 P.M. on the same day, three persons appearing and changes made as disclosed in the minutes of the said Board, now therefore be it RESOLVED that the said assessment roll as now prepared and ' verified with the assessor's oath be now completed, verified, and ordered filed with the Clerk, in the total amount of 03,023,336. 4. The meeting was adjourned,at 10:00 P.M. ` Clerk.
