loud talk and singing in that .vicinity at midnight or later.
IT WAS THEREFORE VOTED, RESOLVED: That parking of cars in
the vicinity of Sunset Park be prohibited after 10 P.M. and that
Officer Begent be given authority to enforce this regulation.
7. Engineer Crandall reported that he had talked further
with Prof. Randolph regarding his desire for a water permit on
Water Tank Road and it developed that he wished the water for
irrigation purposes only in connection with a University research
project and that Prof. Randolph's funds for the - project had been
exhausted in the purchase of pipe. As the water will be.shut off
in the winter and used only in the summer in case-of drouth,
IT WAS VOTED to authorize Engineer Crandall to issue a: permit
without charge to Prof. Randolph for.the water connection for the
summer of 1941 only.
The action of Engineer. Crandall in raising the rate of pay
to Frank Haskins from 60¢ to 65¢ an hour,:and to James Collins from

the street. During a discussion.of the matter, it was.brought out
that there were several places in the Village where street lighting
seems to be insufficient and
IT WAS VOTED that prior.to the. preparation-. of. the next. budget
a survey be made to determine whether or not it would be-advisable
to have all the dark streets in the Village corrected by the.
installation of additional lights.

house on Highland Road; that Prof. Wiegand had taken out a

had been purchased and erected; that a,permit had been:granted
Jess Dall to remodel the Bedell. house on Wyckoff and Highland
Roads; that a permit had been granted Higgins & Zabriskie for
the construction of a sewer main from the Karin White property;
that the concrete sidewalk.on Triphammer.Road.was now completed;
that a sewer problem was very apt to develop near Prof. Maynard's
house due to congestion of sewerage at'that point,,and.that a.
new sewer line costing possibly $450 might need to be constructed
a, .....
in the near future; that the recent.heavy rain caused considerable
A

164 v
