MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Cayuga Heights held on December 11, 1939 at.7 :30 P.M..
at the Schoolhouse, and
PUBLIC HEARING on the Sanitation Ordinance from 7 :30 to 8 :30 P.M.

1. The minutes of the meetings of November 21st were read
and approved with the following addition: 'bn page 60, .i item 9,
2nd paragraph, following the words "and that he had granted a
permit to Mrs.-Albert Cicchetti•to connect with the Village
water system" the phrase "at a price of #75• ".

3. The Mayor reported that he had.discussed.the matter of
Workmen's Compensation Insurance with Mr. Mosher and.that. the.
latter had seemed willing to take out such insurance -and stated,
that he would see Trustee.Shirey regarding the matter.
The Mayor reported three recent robberies in.the .Village-

two at the Gilman house and one at the Mattheson house.
4. Treasurer•Guise, made..hie report'which`indicated . a cash ,
,balance as of Nov. 30th amounting t0 03;463.03 He, also reported .
unpaid delinquent taxes as. of Dec ..11th amounting:to 01`;286.33.,
Treasurer Guise stated that he had - .written to:- Franklin C.:
.Cornell, 3rd regarding his unpaid note In the amount, of 075',. but,.
had received no. reply.'•_
5. Engineer. Crandall reported that the seaaon's work .was now .
finished and that there was very,little remaining for 'the:rest`of
the fiscal year, with the exception of sanding the roads °and removing ,
of snow:
He further reported that James Collins•, an employee;of.'the•
Village, had -been injured when accidentally falling off a ladder'•
and that he had filled out a Workmen's-Compensation report'of,injury.
IT WAS•VOTED to authorize the Clerk to, forward•the Workmen's
Compensation injury report on the accident of James Collins to the
Department of Labor, State of New York. .
6. Engineer Crandall reported the issuance, of a building permit
to Mies Gussie Gaskill for the construction of a house on Highland
Road, and stated that..Mr. Daley had applied for a permit. for the
construction of athouse on the corner of Midway and Triphammer Roads
but that he had not issued it due to the fact that the proposed'con-
struction was too close to.the road,''which was -in v16latiori"'6f the
Village zoning ordinance,
7. The Clerk.reported that Harriet E:. Maynard had..duly•.signed',
the oath of office for Registrars and had appointed as her deputy .
Mrs. Harriet M. Libby.
B. The Mayor gave 'a report of the Public Hearing on the Sanitation
Ordinance, stating that there were no appearances..
