Mayor Barter read a letter from Engineer Crandall suggesting that fire insurange,be placed on the neyl tool.house. After discussion IT WAS VOTED that the Mayor take out fire insurance in an amount not exceeding $1,000 on the building and its contents. 6, The Mayor brought up for discussion the matter of the possible exemption from School and State & County taxes of the Village property j situated in the town of Ithaca. The.Clerk reported that bids had been received from the following firms for the printing of 1,000 copies of the Village Ordinances: The Cayuga Press $76.53 William A. Church Co. 38.75 Stover Printing Co.. 49.80 Action was deferred tintil the next meeting. . 9. The Clerk read a letter from Prof. J. E. Knott regarding, damage being done on Wyckoff Road because of improper drainage. Due to the fact that Engineer Crandall was absent it was decided to defer action on the matter until the January meeting. 10. The Clerk reported that the letters regarding fire box numbers had been mailed to property owners of Cayuga Heights. 11. The following resolution was passed: - WHEREAS at a regular meeting of the Board of- Trustees of.-the Village of Cayuga Heights, held on Nov. 16, 1937 at the Schoolhouse in the said Village, the Treasurer of the said Village was directed to return his warrant and tax roll and an account of the taxes, assessments and charges remaining due, containing a description of the lands upon which such taxes were unpaid as the same were placed upon the tax list together with the amount of the taxes, assessments or charges so assessed and the interest thereon, together with a sworn statement that the tares, assessments and charges mentioned in such account remain unpaid, and that after diligent efforts he has been unable to collect the same, and WHEREAS at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights held at the Schoolhouse of the said Village on the 13th, day of December, 1937, the Treasurer did comply with the aforesaid ' directions, his said statement being attached hereto showing,a.balance unpaid of ��548.141 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the . Village of Cayuga Heights do credit the Treasurer with the amount of ' $548.14 according to the provisions of section 126 -a.of the Village Latij -Z of the State of le;i Yor'_c.' 12.
