Minutes of a meeting of bhe Board of Trustees of the Village of
Cayuga Heights held on January 7, 1937 at the home of Professor
John W. MacDonald, 110 Corson Place at 7:30 P. M.

1. The minutes of the meeting of December 10, 1936
were read and duly approved, with the following changes:
a) On page 141, Item 9, instead of "November 3, 10 and
17" should be "February 7, 4 and 21 "; and instead of "February 4,
1937" should be "February 24"
2. The following bills paid on the authority of the
Mayor were approved:
ACCOUNT 2 -c:
Ithaca Fire Department contribution 100.00
DEBT SERVICE:
Ithaca Savings Bank, Interest on Highland Avenue bonds
due 12/21 200.00
HIGITUAY :
Frank Haskins, 26 hours at 1.00 26.00

3. The following bills were ordered paid:

4. IT WAS VOTED to accept'this report.and;it was ordered filed.
5. IT.WAS,VOTED to rescind Item'•no.•6 of ,the minutes' of the
meeting,of December,10., 1936 ,(page 140) and to order`:check'no. 1094
drawn by the Clerk in accordance with the aforesaid item.cancelled'.
6. IT WAS VOTED.:to adopt the following resolution
WHEREAS.at a` regular meeting :of,;the.Board of.Trustees of the
Village of.Cayuge Heights, held on'December 10, 1936 at the schoolhouse
in the said Village, the.Treasurer,of the'`said Village was directed
to return his .;tax roll and an account.of the taxes, assessments and
charges remaining due,.conthLining a description of the lands upon
which such taxes were unpaid as, the same were.placed upon the tax list
'.
together with the amotint,of the taxes, assessments or charges so
assessed and interest thereon, together with :e: sworn statement that
`the taxes, assessments and charges mentioned in such account remain
unpaid, and that after diligent efforts he has been unable to collect
the same, and
WiEREAS,at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Cayuga Heights held at the residence of the Clerk of the
said Village in the said Village on the seventh'day of`danuary, 1937

NOW THEREFORE BE..IT ;RESOLVED that. ;the,Board of Trustees;of;the
Village'of Cayuga Heights do.credit the Treasurer with.the amount of-

$585.86 according to the provisions of section 126 -a of the Village
Law of the State of New York, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said Board of Trustees of the
Village of Cayuga Heights direct the sale by the said Treasurer
of the taxes, assessments and charges on the following properties
according'to the provisions of section 126 -a of the Village Law
of the State of New York on the twenty- fourth day•of February,
1937 at 2 P. M. at the schoolhouse in the said Village:
1. Byron C. Perkins - Lot No.'7, bounded on the
north by lands of G. F. Fiske estate and
C. H. Blood, on'the east by Hanshaw Road,
on the south by lands of Pauline C.
Stevens estate, and on'the west by Devon
Road. Residence.

2. Psi of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity - Lot 136, bounded
on the north and west by Ridgewood Road,

7. The Engineer reported with regard to his activities. Not
much sanding.has been necessary so far.' Two new'hotises on Northway
Road are being built by Mr. MacPherson. The property owned by Mrs.
Sutherland Simpson has been sold.
8. The Mayor reported with regard to the'demand of the
City of Ithaca for a contribution from the Village of Cayuga Heights
for fire protection in the Village.
9. IT WAS VOTED that the Board of Trustees act as a committee
to interview the city authorities with regard to the Fire Department
matter, with the Village Engineer as advisor to the Committee.
10. The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
