E. G. I. A. W. H. H. Carl C. H. C. H. J. W. Baxter, Mayor Dale, Trustee Crowly, Trustee Scofield, Trustee Crandall, Engineer Guise, Treasurer Webster, Trustee MacDonald, Clerk 1. The Mayor reported a telephone protest from Mrs. Boyle objecting to the position of a street light adjacent to her property. After discussion IT WAS VOTED that no action be taken. 2. IT WAS-VOTED to adopt the following resolution: RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights authorize the extension of a sanitary sewer system of the Village from the corner of Hanshaw Road to the lot of Mr. Lincoln D. Kelsey outside the Village,'easterly on Comstock Road approximately 450 feet in length. 3. The Mayor presented a communication from the State Department of Nlbany, New York certifying that Mrs..Harriet M. Libby, Registrar of Vital Statistics, was entitled to a fee of $24.75'for services as Registrar to November 2, 1936 for the following: 3 death certificates at .25:each 975 12 pdrmanent reports at *&. each 24.00 Total 24.75 IT WAS VOTED that this charge be approved.for payment. 4. A financial statement to October 31, 1936 was presented by the Treasurer. After discussion IT WAS VOTED to order this filed. r3o The Treasurer reported net expenditures of X759.88 made sinoe the date of the report, leaving a balance on hand of $3,879.67., 5..The Treasurer.*read °.a list of those persons delinquent on paying village taxes." IT WAS VOTED to direct the Treasurer'.to notify all delinquent tax payers that if the taxes and assessmerits .with - interest thereon are not paid, the Village will proceed with the sale'of the,.property for taxes, according to. the provisions of the.Village Law of the State of New York. 6. The Engineer reported concerning the possibility of a house being erected by Mr. Filmer on the Sheldon property east of Triphammer Road and inquired as to the charge which the Village: Board might make for a sewer connection in the event of the. erection of the house. IT WAS VOTED that $150 would be a proper charge. 7. The meeting adjourned at 11 P. M.• 0 Special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights held at the schoolhouse at 7 P. On this date the Board sat for four hours, from 7 toll P., M., as a Board of Assessors, to•.hear grievance,s..,and complaints with regard to the'Assessment Roll as prepared.by them for the year,.1937,,and as filed with the Village Clerk on November 2. Hanshaw Road The olaimant appeared in person to object to the increase of $1,500 made on his property for this assessment. ACTION: After discussion IT WAS VOTED that this assessment remain unchanged. 2) Estate of Anna Fargo Albree, care of the Trust Department, Fifth Avenue Bank, P. 0. Station G, New York City In re: 409 Highland Road, east side of street, ..lot no. 240 Bound:N. Hollister E. Tanner, and Peer S. Highland Road W. Highland Road , The claimant appeared by attorney, Henry J. Shirey, Esq., counsel. Affidavits were presented and considered by the Board from the following: red A. Ro als - g: g ley, verifying the X25,000 of September 1936;.F. A. Malley, verifying the $21,000 of September 1936.. Argument was heard by Mr•. Shirey. R. Smart in re: 205 Cayuga Heights Road, east side of the street, Bound: N. Crandall E. Libby S. Pratt W. Cayuga Heights Road Claimant appeared in person, and requested reduction of the amount of the assessment which had been placed at $10,100 and' requested an exemption of approximately $795 federal bonus money, and in addition approximating the same amount from an earlier payment from the government. ACTION: Assessment to remain unchanged. The Clerk is authorized on receipt of the proper forms to bring these forms to the next meeting.of the Village Board for final action to determine the question of the bonus. 5) The meeting of the Board of Assessors was adjourned to the next meeting of the Village Board to be held on December 10, 1936 for final settlement of the assessment roll for 1937.
