4. The Mayor reported with regard to.a. conversation had with
Mr. G. F. Rogalsky relating to a contribution to the'convention
of the Volunteer Firemen's Association of.the State of New York
to be held in Ithaca.
It -was the sense or the meeting that the Mayor should inform
him that the budget of the Village does not permit such a
contribution.
5. The Mayor reported with regard to.a conversation had with
a Mr. Gibbs relating to a general store and gas station on property
owned by the Village for commercial purposes. No action was taken.
6. The Mayor reported with regard to a letter to him of
June 4,.1936 of.M. L. Nichols relating to a fire hydrant, etc. on
Strawberry Lane. The matter was discussed but no action was taken.

8. The Engineer reported with regard to his activities
as follows:
a) He recommended that a stop sign and dangerous intersection
reflector sign be installed at the intersection of Hanshaw•and
Cayuga Heights Road.
IT WAS VOTED to authorize this installation.
b) A zoning and a water permit was issued for the
construction of the house of Frank S. Freeman on lot no. 209
in the Village of Cayuga Heights.
c) Patching on the roads is now completed.
d) A contract should be awarded for resurfacing on
the series of improvements necessary designated in his report.
e) IT WAS VOTED that the annual contract for
resurfacing should be referred to the Mayor and Engineer with power,
to award the contract, the work to be done before July 1, 1936.
9, IT WAS VOTED that the matter of obtaining and awarding
contract bids for sidewalk construction and for culvert headwall
construction should be referred.to a committee to be composed of the
Mayor, Trustee Scofield and Engineer Crandall, with power to award
the contract, work to be tte during the month of July.

10. IT WAS VOTED to direct the Clerk tt:� arrange with the
First National Bank to honor signatures on hhecks made by the
Acting Mayor of the Village, Trustee Dale.
11. IT WAS VOTED to direct the Treasurer 'to pay sewer rental
charges before September let, and to pay whatever sum seems feasible
to him within the budget limits by July let on the sewer certificates
of indebtedness.

Idinutes of a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Cayuga Heights, held on August 3, 1936

It was voted to adopt the following resolution:
RESOLVED: that consent be given to Charles H. Blood, Esq., and
associates for a sanitary sewer extension to be constructed at
their own expense to serve the Hampton Terrace subdivision,
located east of Highland Road in the Town of Ithaca, Tompkins
county, N. Y., said sewer to discharge into the Cayuga Heights
Village sewer mains, with the proviso that the work shall
conform to plans prepared by Carl Crandall, Engineer,.and
it being understood that the oonstruction, maintenance, servioefeea,.
eta., in connection with such sewer extension, shall comply in all
respects with the terms of the existing Sewer Service Agreement
between the City of Ithaca, N. Y., and the Village of Cayuga Heights,
N. Y.

IT WAS VOTED to deny this petition on the' ground; that the hydrant
is not'in the :Village and not.on a public street.
3.'The Liayor read a letter from`1vir. Franklin C. Cornell relating
to the water connection for six houses on Hanshaw Road, especially
with regard to the cost. i
IT WAS VOTED that the connection charged for each of these six
houses b4'$75 ,'per house; that the payment may be made over a year's
time„ $$25 paid at the time of the application for connection and a
note for a year for "the balance..
4. The Engineer reported with regard to various of his activities,
and stated that probably about two thousand dollars should be
included in next year's budget for sidewalks.
5. The minutes of the meeting of June 4, 1936 and of August 3,
1936 were read and duly approved.

contract expiring on October 1936.
11.. IT WAS VOTED that.the next meeting of the Village. Board
should be held 'on Tuesday, October 27th at 7:30,P. M.';for the
preparation of the assessment roll and the regular November meeting
if possible,

paying of 925 for the plan and profile of a survey for a',6ewer system
to serve the southerly portion of Midway Roa(ddsubdiv sion within the
