1. The minutes of the meeting of September 7, 1935 were
read and approved.
2. The Treasurer presented his financial statement from March
1 to October 1, 1935, which is attached to these minutes.
He made the following oral supplement to this report:

3. After a discussion of the possibility of a lower rate of

interest on the Village indebtedness M
IT WAS VOTED to accept and file the Treasurer's report.'
4. The Treasurer reported in regard to certain protests on mowing
charges. .
IT WAS VOTED that power be given to the Treasurer and the
Engineer to adjust such charges.,
5. The Treasurer reported in regard:to the compensation bill..
rendered to the Village by the.State Insurance Fund.

It was reported that at present $33.01 was owed to the
State Insurance Fund.on Workman's Compensation premiums.
IT WAS VOTED to direct the Treasurer to supply to the Clerk
a memorandum of the sequence of these charges for
incorporation in the minutes. It was further directed that
this bill be paid.
6. The Mayor{reported.with regard to the moving.of a light at the
residence of Professor G'.*W;',•Herrick,to give additional
light to more property.. He reported that the charge would be
$30.00.
In a letter of C. R. Dixon, dated October 10, 1935, to the
Engineer, a light was requested at East Upland Road and
'Triphammer Road. In a discussion of new lights the Engineer
stated that he considered 15 or 20 new lights essential
for the Village.'
IT WAS VOTED to direct the Engineer to submit a program for

the installation of new lights to a number not exceeding
for the present fiscal year for the Village.
This program was to' be. on the basis of the old survey of
lighting. Such installation is to be with the understanding
that the New York State Electric and Gas Corporation pay for
the installation.
IT WAS VOTED to direct the.Clerk to reply to C. R. Dixon
and G. W. Herrick that the Village is considering a program
for additional lights for the Village and that the petitions
will be considered in the development of that program.',-
7. In the letter of C. R. Dixon to the :Engineer, dated October
10, 1935, there was included a.petition for the installation of

a hydrant in the corner of Triphammer Road and East Upland Road.,

the Krause's residence this year; Dixon Is. hydrant- .to'be

considered next year., '
ITIVAS VOTED to direct..the,Caierk�to'.inform Mr.,Dixon. that
there.is no.,Pund in the.budget to care for installation
of a hydrant this year but .',that such installat ion ,will be
given consideration in the preparation of next year's
budget,=the cost'being $150 installation bharge in ;
addition to.a.charge of $40 a year charge Por
maintenance.
8. There'was discussion of the outting back of a tree...``
' on Albert's property on Brook Lane.in`order.to
provide additional light on Brook Lane., The Engineer
was directed to.confer.with Mr. Albert, being disinclined
to confer with Mr. Albert about this matter.
9. IT WAS VOTED.to instruct the.Clerk to order 8,.copies.of
the Village Handbook from the Village.Handbook;Company
for the use of.the Village Board.
