HomeMy WebLinkAboutReg Mtg. Minutes 6/3/193559 79 The Treasurer reported with regard to the State Insurance Fund bill of $167.08. He reported a new bill of $281.68 from the State Insurance fund which arrived a few days ago in which oiling the road and garbage are charged as payroll expenditures from which there is given credit for $60.00 paid in February 1934 and thirty -six cents an older credit. A payroll representative from the Rochester office of the State Insurance Fund is to come and look over our payrolls. 8. The Engineer reported with regard to the repair of highways in the Village setting out a list of twenty items, the cost being estimated at $1500.00. He reported that he called for bids on the parts of the highway in the worst shape. Having advertised for bids the only bid received was from M. E. Moran & Company at $1407600. 9. IT WAS VOTED to authorize the Engineer to make a contract with M. ' E. Moran & Company of Groton for repair of the said highway for $1407.00 at this time. 10. - The.Engiaeer reported with regard to repair of sidewalks within the Village. He reported that 20,985 square feet of concrete sidewalk should be repaired and approximately 7400 feet of asphalt sidewalk should be repaired. He estimated twenty cents a square foot for the concrete and ten cents a square foot for asphalt repair. 11. IT WAS VOTED that the University proceed and authorize the Engineer to repair the necessary estimates and plans to submit to the State T.E.R.A. authority for rebuilding of all existing sidewalks where repairs are necessary and for the construction of a new side walk along the east side of Renshaw Road and for the construction of a new sidewalk on the north side of Upland Road from Hanshaw to the school drive. ' 12. The Engineer reported on the removal oftress on Professor C. L. Durham's property and with regard to Professor Durham's request for the construction of a hedge in the place of trees.
