Minutes- 3/12/19354� MEETING OF THE VILLAGE'OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS ON MARCH 12th AT THE VILLAGE SCHOOLHOUSE.., Meeting was balled to order at 7:45 P.M. by Mayor Heinicke,F.about_.;.';'i.. forty residents being present. The Mayor.was elected chairman of the meeting, and Robert S. Stevens, secretary. The Mayor presented a brief report discussing village problems, including the proposed bus line, the policy as to the installation of fire hydrants, a proposal in regard to the sand bank, and bo- operation between the Village Board and the state troopers.. Messrs. L. A. Maynard, A. B. Reoknagle and Robert S. Stevens, as a oommi.ttee,appointed to present nominations for election to the Village Board, proposed the names of A. W. Crowley and C. H. Webster. There being no other nominations, it was voted that the secretary be in- ' struoted to oast a ballot for the nomination of these two men: The ballot was oast by the secretary. The treasurer presented his report, which was discussed, accepted and filed. It was announced that the treasurer's accounts had been audited and found correct by 1. B. Trousdale. The tentative budget for the year 1935 -36 was then taken under ',' consideration. The principal matter of discussion in connection there- with was the proposal to appropriate $3,006in order.to secure from the county $9,000, with the understanding that the total of $12,000 would be used in the construotion of new sidewalks and the repair of old ones. As a result of the.discussion, the meeting resolved that a committee of three should be appointed by the Mayor to study all aspe ate. of this problem, to determine the desirability and need of sidewalks, and the ' precise location of any new ones to be construoted. A suggestion was made for the consideration of the Board that Highland Road be designated a boulevard, and that heavy trucks be barred from passage over it. It was noted that much damage had been done to this street by the heavily loaded trucks which had passed over its during the past season. The desirability of some form of police protection was also raised for discussion, and it was suggested that the Board take this matter under consideration. Robert S.
