The minutes of'the previous meeting -were read and approved.after :. the following amendments had been made:..(a)•That the new name for Renwick Drive mentioned in Sec: 10 and 11 'be made to read .as indicated r in the petition of.the` property owners involved;. (b) Tha.t.the..statement "Reduced from $46.0011 referring.to the H. E. Whiteside property and occurring on the last line of the minutes of.'the_ meeting of the grievance Board. of Assessors, be corrected to read 1.'Redueed from $4600.00') 2. Excerpts from the minutes of meetings'cf November 1933,, Jan uary 1934 and February 1934•containing the action taken by the Board. 30 regarding upaid taxes were read as requested in tthe previous meeting. 1 4. It was -VOTED to lay;the matter of., collecting unpaid current taxes on the table until-,the: January: 1935 meeting. 5. It was'VOTED to. retire one $500.00 Highland Ave. Bond 'and to:pay'�the interest "due.` 6. The treasurer presented •his report to: November 30, "'1934:`. The report is attached hereto*'' 7. A letter-from Professor J. H. Tanner ,announced the.:,sale "of a parcel of�his. lot tofA H.:McPherson, " and: asked that his own "assessment'be , reduced." It was VOTED-to reduce the Tanner land.assessment,,$1100.00. 9. It '9as..VOTED. to: iassess the A H. McPherson lot,$1200.00. 9. It was VOTEDpthat::the following. resolution "completing the assessment roll be accepted: WHEREAS, the Village Board of the Village of :Cayuga Heights, acting as assessors of the said Village according to 's. resolution ' previously adopted have prepared an assessment loll for 1935,. and filed. it in duplicate with the Clerk of the Village prior to-November 1, 1934; and, WHEREAS, the Clerk caused a notice'to be� published in the official newspaper.of the Village, and posted in "five conspicuous places "in the Village before November 8, 1934, a notice that the 1935,roll was filed at his "residence, 300 Iroquois Road, .Cayuga Heights, New York; -; where it might be seen until- November 20, 1934; and,`." . WHEREAS, on•the'said 20th day of November a grievance.'day was held and the said Board met,from 7 P. m., until .Ill p.' m-..-'; on -said day, and, adjourned until Decembe.r:19,. 193?, and- met "on said day to reoeive grievances, several persons appearing and several changes,made.,as die- closed in the minutea'of the said'Board, BE IT RESOLVED that thesaid , assessment roll as now prepared and. verified with: the,assessors� oaths 31 ' be,now completed, veri£i.ed, and.ordered filed with the Clerk. IT WAS VOTED to adopt the following resolution: tXWHEREAS At a regular meeting`of the'.Board of .Trustees; af�'.the Villap'e'of Cayuga Heights held on'September 29th, 1931,: a resolution, authorizing.the borrowing, from the Ithaca Savings Bank the..sum of $15,000. or so much thereof as might be needed to`oover.the',expenses of certain improvements to Upland Road, one of,the,streets.in said, Village, was duly adopted, and WHEREAS Pursuant.to such resolution the sum of.$15,000..was heretofore borrowed from the Ithaca. Savings Bank on a 0ertificate.of Indebtedness dated October 15i.l931, and.'. ; WHEREAS ;.Said Certificate of Indebtedness was drawn for.;the,.• term of one year, which term.expired on'0otober l5th,.1932;;and the said Certificate of'Indebtedness was thereupon renewed by_'akresolution' of the Board of Trustees for a. term of one, year, from October 15, 1`932. The said resolution was duly adopted, at a meeting of the Board of Trusteer, of the Village,of Cayuga Heights held on October 17;.1932. , a_� WHEREAS : The term of the said extension of the aforesaid ', Certificate of Indebtedness has now expired'. , WHEREAS :'It now appears that it is;to the best 'interests of said Village of Cayuga Heights to renew said Certificate iii'the,;,full . amount thereof until April 11 1935, NOW THEREFORE 'be it 6 vbl)( RESOLVED t That•the Certificate of Indebtedness in the;sum.of $15,000 hereinbefore, described be.renewed so as to.,fall due on April, J, it 1935, and that the Mayor execute for and; on behalf -of said Village:;,:, 32 5��W It w as Voted ao adopt. the following resolution: HEREAS: At'a regular meeting of the;Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heighte held on, September 29,.19.30; a resolution .. authorizing the issuanoe of.bonds or. other.obligati6ns..6f:.th6 Village to the amount i6f %$20;00. for, the puTpose.of meeting the Villege's,share of the cost of`oonstrticting a.sewer,.eystem in said Village was duly.: adopted, and 2 ,(. WHEREAS 'At the same meeting as aforesaid„ a'' resolution authorizing the borrowing from the Ithaoa Savings Bank the sum of X25,000 or so much. thereof as might needed for the,:oonstruotion.of . a'sewer system:in said` �yVillage :was , duly adopted,, 3 1 WHEREAS : Pursuant to such.resolutions the sum of ,$2. i6bO: 25 000. w" hereto- fore borrowed from the�'Ithaca Savings Bank on a`Certificate.of Indebtedness dated Octolber,4,'1930. WHEREAS: By resolution of the Board of Trustees of the.Village of Cayuga Heights duly adopted at a meeting held on October 26,,1931, the aforesa.id'Oertifieate of Indebtedness was extended for a term.'of one year from Ootober 4, 1931; and by resolution,of the Board of Trustees'of the Village of Cayuga Heights duly adopted ate. meeting held oil October'7, 1932, the aforesaid Certificate of Indebtedness.was extended f,or.a term of ones ear from October 42 19320 and WHEREAS : The term of said extensions of the aforesaid Certificate of Indebtedness has noii expired. i r1 WHEREAS: It now. appears, that it is to the best`interest of the said Village of Cayuga Heights to renew•the said Oertificate of::Inde'btedness until April 1, 1935, and tij :�{WHEREAS : On February 21, 19341 the,.sum 6f- 42,500.was paid on the Certificate of Indebtedness, NOW THEREFORE, be it 1-1 33. RESOLVED ; That the Certificate of Indebtedness in the sum of x$251000. hereinbefore described, be renewed for a period so as to fall due on April 1, 1935,in the sum of #22,500.', and that the Mayor execute for.and on behalf of said Village of Cayuga Heights and in its name the necessary instrument of renewal or extension of said Certifi- cate of Indebtedness, and that the Village Clerk attest such instru- ment and affix thereto the corporate seal of the Village. 10. It was Voted that the Village Clerk be empowered to draw up suitable resolutions,in which -the Board requests the Bank to.extend the existing Certificates, of Indebtedness to April 1, 1935, and to obtain etc., the necessary legal signatures, seals��in order.tha.t the Bank can extend the said Certificates of Indebtedness.' 11. .It was Voted that the request of Clerk J. MacDonald that he be relieved of all but the legal end of the matter involving the floating of a Bond issue be accepted, and that the Clerk's offer of a charge of x$60.'00 for legal services involving the floating of the Bond issue be accepted.
