Meeting of the itesidents of the Village of
Cayuga Ieights hold on March 5, 19349
at the school House in said Village
at 8 oIclock P.M.
PRZov.NT: Thirty residents of the Village.
1. The meeting was oallod to order by acting Mayor R.S Stevens who was
then appointed Chairman of the Meeting.
2. The annual report of the Troasurer was presented for the information
of the residents and the tentative budget as recommended b;i tho Trustees'
at the special meeting hold on March 5th, 1934, was also preoonte(I for
discussion.
3. A report of the Yominatine. Committee making nominations*
of candidates to succeed R.;• Stevens, acting 'Iayor, Trustees H.E, Baxter,
L. C. Pritchard and.A.D. soymour, Jr., and L.A. d:aymard, !avor (resigneQjyas read
nominating for "ayori A.J: Heiniclte; Trustees for tvio ;,ears, H.3. Baxter
and G.I. Dale; Trustees for one ;rear, L.C. Pritchard and A.D• SeIrmour, Jr.
Upon motion, this ronort of the ominating Committee was accepted and
the nominations closed.

ANNUAL ELEOTIONi
At the Annual Election for the Village of Oayugs Heighta.
held on the 20th day of March, 1934, the total number of
citizens voting was fourteen.
A.J. Heinieke was elected Mayor; G.I. Dale and H.E. Baxter
were elected Trustees for two years; A.D• Seymour jr. and L.0•
Pritchard were eleoted Trustees for one year.

1. The minutes of the last previous meeting were read and approved
2. John W. MacDonald was appointed Clerk of the Village at a
salary of two hundred dollars a year. - -
3. Cedric H. Guise was appointed Treasurer and Collector of the
Village at a salary of two hundred dollars a year.
4. Carl Crandall was appointed Engineer and Zoning officer for the
ensuing year.
5. Dr.W.H. York was appointed Medical Off c r for the ensuing,
year and.in the event of his.refusal, Dr. /Mtton wasL appointed.
6. Trustee A.D. Seymour, Jr. was appointed Acting Mayor in the
absence of Mayor Heinicke.
7. It was resolved that the regular meeting date for the Board If
Trustees be set as the third Monday of the month at 7.30 P.M.
g. It was resolved that the Ithaca Journal be and hereby is des-
ignated as the official newspaper of the Village of Cayuga Heights.
9. It was resolved that the Board of Trustees of the Village of .
Cayuga Heights act as the assessors for the fiscal year 193 193.
10. It was resolved that the First National Bank of Ithaca, N.Y "
be designated held
as a depository for the Village funds by Oedrio�
H. Guise as Treasurer and Collector"of the Village.
11. It was resolved that the Village bond Cedric H. Guise as
Treasurer and Collector of the Village in the amount of $15,,000
and that a bond in the National Surety Company be approved.
12. It was voted that the financial statement of the Treasurer
and Collector be received and filed. It is filed herewith at the
end of -these minutes.
13. It was voted that the complaint of Mr. E.L Palmer made to the
Village Board and referred to this Board bf-the action of the
meeting of January 15, 1934, be referred to a committee. The
Mayor appointed the following committee: Engineer Crandall, Trustees:

14. The Matter of the complaint of Finlayson with reference to
highway conditions adjoining his house was referred to the same
committee.
15. It was voted that authority be conferred on the Village
Engineer to appoint a Road Foreman at $7.00 per day, divided as
follows: $4.00 for personal services and $3.00 for.truck.
16. The following bills paid on the authority of the Mayor were
ordered approved:
HIGHWAY: Carl Crandall, March services $12.00
ZONING: Carl Crandall,. 4.00
GENERAL: Grace Printing Company, notices of election 4.00
SANITATION: Charles Mosher, March garbage 166.66
17. The Board took up the question of the budget for the ensuing
year and acting as a Committee of the Whole recommended the adoption:
of the following budget.

19. It was resolved that a separate meeting for the consideration
and adoption of the budget should be held on Monday night, April 30,
in the School House in the Village of Cayuga Heights between the
hours of 7:30 P.M. and 8:30 P.M.
