Newman and Recknagel.and Mrs: Bentley, was presented by Professor A. B. Recknagel, Chairman "March 10, 1932. Dear Professor Maynard I am writing to you as Mayor of the Village.o£ Cayuga Heights and in behalf of the committee appointed last year to inquire of the residents north of the village line whether they would be favorable to coming into the village. Mr. Newman as chairman of the Committee was unable to attend the meeting Monday night and I am therefore submitting the brief report that I made at that time. Of the sixteen property owners interviewed seven were favorable to entering the Village, six were opposed and three were neutral. It therefore appears that the feeling is divided and your Committee respectfully suggests to the in- coming Mayor "and Trustees that they consider the desirability -of sponsoring a meeting on the part of those interested, or if that does not seem desirable, then that they suggest to somd one.of the residents north of the Village line.that he sponsor such a meeting for discussion of the entire situation. Your Committee having completed its labors respectfully requests that it be discharged. Very truly yours, (Signed) A.B.Recknagell, Meeting adjourned, 9:15 P. M. 0. A. Johannsen, Seely pro tem.
