Mr. L. N. Simmons..
Village Clerk.
Dear Sir :-
I have your letter.in regard to my sewer assess-
ment. You may recall that I protested.the excessive'
amount charged to my property in return for the im -•.
provement. The Village Board refused to reduce the
amount and gave me no assurance that sewer connec-
tions could be obtained across private property un-
less I made prompt connections..
So far I have had no statement from the Village.
Board that a survey to my property assures me..adequate,
drainage to the.sewer main on Upland Road' Further I
could not.make connections until.I.obtained a guaranteed
right -o£ -way which would give me full privileges to make
repairs.in case of sewer trouble. May,I en4uire.,if:_the
Board is prepared to make:such an agreement?
Another problem has not been considered by: :the
Board.and.it.is one that has bothered;me for:some time.''
For some years I have..planned either: to sell"or build.
a house on .the southern half of my lot ''As 'far.` as I
can determine such a. house .could, not secure sewer .

connections with any sewer main at present
available. The present sewer assessment is
against my entire property so that I should
be entitled to sewer connections from the other
half of my property. May I ask that this
matter be taken up by the Board and inform me
how this condition can be remedied.
Very truly yours,
Robert Matheson"
12. The matter of laying a sewer on Strawberry Lane was
discussed but no action taken other.than to request the
