Regular Meeting of the Board of
Trustees of the Village of
Cayuga Heights, held at the
School House on May 25,1931.

1. The minutes of the last previous meeting were read and approved.
�2. A hearing was held on the proposal to construct a sewer west of t
Cayuga Heights Road, fifteen residents of that section being present.
All of those south of Mr. Young's property were in favor of.postponing
the construction of the sewer in that section until such time as there
seemed to be a demand. The Mayor pointed out that the Village Trustees
felt obligated to go ahead with the construction if any property owners
in that section demanded service, or the sewer seemed to be necessary
for sanitary reasons. Those property owners north of the Sunset Park
section, including Mr. Young, were in favor of proceeding with the north
part of the sewer. It was pointed out that whenever the remaining part
of the sewer was constructed, the assessment would be tLY the established
ate of $1.05 per foot.
3. The following bills paid on the approval of the Mayor were

4. It was voted to proceed with the construction of the sewer west
of Cayuga Heights Road from Mr. Young's south line to the north line of
the Village.
5. It was voted to hold a hearing at the School House on. June 1 at
8 o'clock concerning the proposal to construct a sidewalk along Hanshaw
Road between Cayuga Heights and Highland roads. The clerk was asked to
notify the residents along this road, as well as the Board.
6. Engineer Carl Crandall was authorized to proceed with the
preparation of final plans and draw up the contract papers for the
Improvement of Upland Road.
7. The following resolution concerning the extension of the Village
limits was unanimously passed, and the Mayor was asked to transmit a
copy of this resolution to the President of the Board of Education,
District No. 6, and to the Clerk, Mr. Randolph.
+ 1WHEREAS: The Board of School District No. 6, in which the
Village of Cayuga Heights is located, is considering a new
school site located between the present end of Parkway and Hanshaw
Road to the north, which would involve an extension of the Village
limits to include this area; and
WHEREAS: Such an extension
by the*Village in the extension
improvement and upkeep; be it
would involve large expenditures
of utilities, and in street
RESOLVED : That this Board does not favor the plan for the
extension of the Village limits as above proposed".
S. The return of the $500.00 deposit made with the State to insure
the replacement of the State highways within the Village limits
disturbed by the construction of the sewer was reported.
