Maynard, Mayor J. J. Dall, Jr., Trustee W. A. Hagan, Trustee. E. H. Wanzer, Trustee. / Qi 1... The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Engineer Carl Crandall sta ed that the bids for the ew sanitary sewer system had been received an opened and he presente a tabulation of the bids received which showed that the firm of James assero & Sons, Inc., of 143 Dartmouth St., Rochester, N. Y. the lnw bidder with a total for all items wit n the Village oft 229.77, and the Stowell Construction Company o 204 Seitz Bldg.; Syracuse, N. Y., being second low with a bid of $2 461,50. All bid sheets were in order and accompanied by the required certified check. Engineer Carl Crandall was requested to return the certified checks of all other bidders except ® the two above named, these to be retained until after•contracts are signed. Representatives of the two low bidders were present and after discussion the following resolution was duly passed : RESOLVED: That the contract for the construction of the new sanitary sewer system for the Village of Cayuga Heights be granted to James Passero & Sons, Inc., at the amount bid by them and upon the terms and conditions as set forth in the plans and specifications upon which the bid was made, and that the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to sign and execute the necessary contract or contracts for the construc- tion of such sewer by said firm at any time, on or after August 1st, 1930, and it was further RESOLVED: That Engineer Carl Crandall be and hereby is given full charge of the construction of the said sanitary sewer and is empowered to direct the method and manner of construction thereof. 3. Engineer Carl Crandall was authorized to refer the matter of securing a right of way across the property owned by the school district in the Village to C. Tracy Stagg for such action as may be necessary for securing such right of way. 4. The matter of employing William E. Barnes as Inspector of ' the sewer construction for the Village was referred to,Engineer Carl Crandall with power. 188 5. The matter of the construction of sewer lines outside the Village limits and the.charges to be made to.the persons using such sewers was discussed and it was RESOLVED: That should any extensions .of:the Village sanitary sewer.system be made outside the Village limits as provided for in the plans and specifications already'prepared;.that the persons requiring and using such sewer shall 'be - required "to-pay the contract price for such construction outside the Village limits ,`together with an engineering and inspection service fee of 12j% of.such contract price and an annual charge for the use of the,Village sanitary.sewer system of 120% of the rate charged.by the City for.the disposal of such sewage. 6. The Clerk was authorized to make the necessary expenditures for securing a new check book and new record books. 9. A letter was received from_John Young stating'that he wished to be allowed to wait.uhti'1 September 1st before opening.Sunset Drive as required. This was approved. 10. The Clerk was authorized to secure information from those persons violating the ordinances as to the cleaning up of their lots and frontages as to whether they wish to do this work themselves or have it done by the Village and charged to them.
