4. In order that necessary,authority may be provided for the
temporary financing of the construction of .the sanitary sewer system
of the Village, the following resolutions were on motion duly adopted
WHEREAS: The Board,of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga
Heights at a regular meeting of the Board did on the.30th day of
June, 1930, authorize the issuance of bonds or other obligations
of the Village to the amount of $20,000:00 for the purpose'of
meeting the Villagers share for the cost of constructing.a.sewer
system in the Village of Cayuga Heights, and
WHEREAS: Such sewer system is now being constructed pursuant
to an authorization duly made by.the.Trustees of said Village, and
WHEREAS: It now appears to the Trustees .of:said Village
that the cost of such sewer system for.which. said Village is
obligated to pay, should be temporarily financed by the.issuance.
of temporary notes or temporary bonds of.-the Village running .
for a period not longer than one year from their.date,.�ursuant
to the provisions of Section 129- A.,of.,the Villaga'Law'of:;the
State of New York, and
WHEREAS: The .total.assessed valuation',of the property
in said Village is in excess of $2',000,000.; and the.•total.. '
indebtedness of 'said Village is only $26,500.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Village
of Cayuga heights, a municipal corporation of the
State of New York borrow from the Ithaca Savings Bank
of Ithaca, New York, the sum of $20,000.00 or so much
thereof as may be needed, which the Trustees of said
Village deem necessary to pay the Village's share of
the cost of the construction of said sewer system,
interest on said loan to be at the rate of 5% per
annum, payable semi - annually, and said loan to be due
and payable one year from the date of execution of
said temporary note or certificate of indebtedness,
or sooner, at the option of the Village of Cayuga
Heights, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the.Mayor execute for and
in behalf of said Village and in its name the note or
certificate of indebtedness of said Village in the sum
of $20,000.00, on the terms as aforesaid, and that the
Village Clerk affix the corporate seal to said instrument
and attestWit, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Treasurer of said Village
is hereby authorized to receive such sum and to give the
receipt of said Village'therefor,'and that said Treasurer
of the Village of Cayuga Heights is hereby authorized to
pay the proper expenses in connection with obtaining such
loan from the said Ithaca Savings Bank.
WHEREAS: Heretofore and at a regular meeting of the
Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights held
on the 30th day of June, 1930, authorization was made by
resolhtion duly passed for the construction of a sewer
system in.the Village of Cayuga Heights as shown on a
map and plans duly approved by the Commissioner of
Health of the State of New York on the 23rd day of
June, 1930, and
WHEREAS:*At the regular meeting of the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights held on the
30th day of June, 1930, a resolution was duly adopted
providing for the construction of said sewer system at
the joint expense of the Village and of the property
bene£itted, and
WHEREAS: At the same meeting as aforesaid, by
resolution duly adopted, the sum of $20,000.00.or so.
much thereof as might be required was appropriated for
' the purpose.,of paying the Village's share of the cost
of constructing said sewer system, and

. WHEREAS: By resolution duly adopted at said
meeting authorization was.made for the issuance by
the Village of Cayuga Heights of bonds or other
obligations of said Village for the purpose of.
meeting the said Village's share of cost of construct -
ing said sewer system in a maximum amount of $20,000.00,
and
WHEREAS: In accordance with the authorizations
heretofore made by the Board of Trustees of said Village
a contract for the construction of said sewer system was
awarded to the lowest bidder for such contract, and
....pursuant to such contract said sewer system is now in
the process of construction, and
WHEREAS: As the construction of said sewer system
progresses it becomes evident that the assessments to
be made'against the property owners for the construction
of said sewer cannot be collected in time to make the
funds thereby obtained available for the payment of
said contractor,.and
WHEREAS: It appears that the.entire cost of said
sewer system will be upwards of $45,000.00, and '
WHEREAS: The Trustees of said Vibllage deem it
advisable to borrow sufficient funds in addition to the
$20,000. 00 heretofore appropriated to complete the
construction of said sewer system by the issuance of a
certificate of indebtedness or.other short term obliga-
tion which shall be a general obligation of the Village
as provided by Section 274 -A of the Village Lahr of the
State of New York, and
WHEREAS: The total assessed valuation of the property•
in said Village is in excess of $2,000,000., and the total
indebtedness of said Village is only $26,500.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Village of
Cayuga Heights, a municipal corporation of the State of
New York, borrow from the Ithaca Savings Bank of Ithaca,
New York, the'sum of $25,000.00 or so much thereof as
may be needed, which-sum the Trustees of said Village
deem necessary for the construction of said sewer system,
interest on said loan to be at the rate of.5% per annum,
payable semi - annually, and said loan to be due and
payable one year from the date of execution of said
temporary note or certificate of indebtedness, or sooner,
at the option of the said Village of Cayuga Heights,
and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor execute for and in
behalf of said Village and in its name the note or
certificate of indebtedness of said Village in the sum
of $25,000.00, on the terms as aforesaid, and that the
Village Clerk affix the corporate seal to said instrument
and attest it, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Treasurer of said Village
is hereby authorized to receive such sum and to give the
receipt of said Village therefor, and that said Treasurer
of the Village of Cayuga Heights is hereby authorized to

loan from said Ithaca Savings Sank.
5. There was a general discussion of the progress being made by
the contractor constructing the new sanitary sewer system of the
6. The matter of improving the intersection of Hanshaw Road and
Cayuga Heights Road in order to make a better approach into Hanshaw
Road from the north was referred to Engineer Carl Crandall with power.
7. The matter of placing a stop or caution sign on Hanshaw Road
at its intersection with Cayuga Heights Road was referred to Engineer
Carl Crandall with power.
8. Engineer Carl Crandall was requested to take up with Mr. Jerome
Fried the matter of removing the piles of loose stones along the right
of way adjoining his property.
