MEETING OF RESIDENTS OF VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS

March 16, 1929.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Williams at 7:40 P.M.
The gymnasium room of the school building was comfortably filled.
The Mayor outlined the activities of the Board of Trustees of
the Village and called attention to some of the outstanding
accomplishments during the past year:

.- The results of the survey for the sanitary sewer were thoroughly
outlined by the Mayor, and brought forth some discussion as to the
costs and means of assessing. It was moved and seconded that it is
the sense of the meeting that the incoming Board should make arrange-
ments to go ahead with the sewer installation as soon-as- practical.
Motion carried.
The Chairman of the Nominations Committee appointed by the Board
presented the following slate : Mayor, Dr. Williams; Trustees,
Franklin C. Cornell; Horace Whiteside. It was moved and seconded that
this nomination be accepted. Motion carried.
The Treasurer's report was presented and motion was duly made and
' carried to adopt this report.
Motion was duly made and seconded that it is the sense of the
meeting that the Board of Trustees again appoint a nominating committee
for the following year.
The question of the Village becoming a part of the City of Ithaca
was discussed at length and the opinion was expressed that such a move
was inevitable sooner or later. It was moved and seconded that it is
the sense of the meeting that the Board be asked to study the question
in all its aspects, taking into consideration the community north of
the Village as well- as the school situation; motion carried.
The question of the street names was informally discussed, the
name "Stoneybrook Road" being suggested for that part of the Renwick
Drive below Cayuga Heights Road to the Village line on the west. No
action was taken.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
