Payment of the following accounts..heretofore approved by the Mayor, were approved.bythe Board,,: GARBAGE FUND Seymour Mosher, 126 hours @ $1.50 an hour ---------- $189.00 HIGHWAY FUND H. Hawden., 63 hrs. @ $.60 an.hour - labor ---------- 37.80 Vim. E. Barnes, labor., Apr. 16-May 1 -------$70.00 Truck Hire --------------- 12.00 Gas and oil ------------------ ------ 7.20 --- 89.20. GENERAL FUND State Insurance Fund- Earned premium March 1,,1928.,, to March 1. 1929 ---------- ---------------------- 63.90 3. The following current bills were approved and.ordered paid LIGHT FUND New York State Electric Corp., Lights for March 74.00 HIGHWAY FUND C. J. Rumsey & Co., Materials furnished----- - - - - -- 14.01 PROTECTION OF PROPERTY FUND City of Ithaca - Hydrant service prior to January 1,, 1929 as per compromise agreement of March 1, 1929 ------------------- - - - - -- $1,000. Hydrant service for 1929 - 14 hydrants @ $40. per year per hydrant -------------- 560. 1.9560.00 4. It was the request of the Board that Mr. Barnes be instructed to check up on the hydrants in the Village with the understanding that if there were found to be more than fourteen hydr.ants'as indicated'on the bill from the City of Ithaca, that the City should be so notified. and the necessary additional amount paid. 154 5. A request was received from Professor John Bentley for permission to move the pine trees along his lot which are now placed just outside the lot line to a new position within the lot line. This permission was granted and the Clerk instructed to so notify Professor Bentley. 6. Trustee Wilson was appointed a Committee of one with power to attend to the erection of such a fence along the edge of Sunset Park as may to him seem advisable, to prevent parking on the grass plots of the park. 7. A report was made by Trustee Wiegand.on.the development of the sewer proposition for the Village and Professor Whiteside was appointed a committee of one to consult with the property owners on the west side of Cayuga Heights Road, with a view to determining the best methods of taking care of the sewerage from the property on that side of Cayuga Heights Road, and he was also authorized to expend a sum not to exceed $100.00 for the services of a consulting.engineer to co- operate with Mr. Carl Crandall in the development of a feasible plan for disposing of the sewerage of the property in question.. 8. The matter of oiling the roads in the Village was discussed and no definite action taken. it 9. The matter of repairing The Parkway where it has been damaged by heaving in front of the property of Professor Tanner was referred to Trustee Wiegand with power. 10. The Clerk was instructed to prepare and keep an inventory of the property of the Village. 11. The matter of an ordinance providing for the installation of lead pipe under the street when new connections are made to the main water supply line was discussed and referred to Trustee Wanzer for investigation and report. 12. The resignation of Mayor Williams was presented as:of_June 1st, '1929, and accepted with deep regret. by'the'Triistees. 13. The Clerk and Trustee Wilson were requested to examine the law concerning the e$$,,tablishment of sanitary districts for villages and territories out incorporated villages for the purpose of being able to inform the Trustees concerning the possibility or advisability of bring the territory north of the Village of Cayuga Heights within the contemplated sewage system of the Village.
