Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees
of the Village of Cayuga Heights,
held on March 11th, 1929.

1. The minutes of .the two previous meetings were read
and approved.
2. A letter received by the Clerk from the department'
of taxation and finance of the State concerning the equalization
rates for.the property in the Village of Cayuga. Heights was
read by the Clerk and ordered placed on file, and it was voted
that.the information requested in the letter be•furnished as
asked for.
3. The following bills were approved and ordered paid :

4. On motion duly made it was
RESOLVED : That the Board of Trustees of.the Village of
Cayuga Heights hereby amends section 6 of the Zoning Ordinance
of the Village of Cayuga Heights.f"by the substitution th9refor
of the following section which is hereby ordained and enacted
SECTION 6. VOLUME RESTRICTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS ON LOCATION.
(a) In Zones, Nos. 1 and 2, no building or buildings shall be
erected or altered so as,to occupy more than fifteen.percent of
the area of the lot upon which it, or they, is or are placed.
(b) In Zones Nos. I and 2, no property shall be by subdivision
so reduced in area, subsequent to the erection of a building or

buildings thereon, that the structures thereon shall occupy
more than fifteen percent of the area of such lot.
(c) In Zones Nos. 1 and 2, no building, exclusive of open
porches or overhanding eaves, shall extend nearer to a street
line than the mean distance of the setback of the nearest building
or buildings within 100 feet on each side of said building and
fronting on the same street, provided, however, that no building
shall be required to be set back more than fifty feet from a
street line. Where no buildings exist within 100 feet on either
side, the distance of set -back shall be determined with the
approval of the Zoning Officer of the Village, but such officer
shall not approve a setback from the street line of less than
fifteen feet, and within said zones no building shall be erected
nearer than fifteen feet from the line of any front or side street.
(d) Within any of the zones created by this ordinance no
plantings shall be made or permitted to remain upon any corner lot
within fifteen feet of the point of intersection of the lines of
the streets bounding said lot, if such plantings shall be or
become of such a height and nature as to obstruct the free view
of vehicles upon the intersecting street by drivers

5. The report of the examination of the Village by the
representative of the State Comptroller's Office was received
and placed on file.
6. The matter of taking over Overlook Road as a Village
street was discussed but no definite action taken, it being
suggested that the matter be taken up for discussion at a special
meeting immediately following the closing of the polls after
general election..
