Garrett, Trustee' Wrr A. _Hagan., .Trustee K. M. Wiegand, Trustee. 13.1 The minutes of the.last previous meeting were read.and approved. The Clerk reported the receipt of $100.00 from.the.Supervisor of' the Town of Ithaca in payment of the portion of the cost. of oiling . Triphammer Road which was to be assumed by the Town of Ithaca and that this had been turned over to the Treasurer of the Village. The committee appointed to.look into the question of a water stand CPN;Wman-i pe have reported that they had had a conference with Mr. Jarb'd T: but no action had as yet been taken. The Mayor reported a request from Professors Boyle and Kennard for numbers for their new houses and that he.had told them to follow in the order of the previous numbers on the street. The Mayor also reported that a survey by Carl Crandall, engineer, revealed the fact that the trees and shrubbery on the corner of the Parkway and E. Upland Road, both adjoining Prof. Baker's property, and that on the opposite side of the road, were inside boundaries of the street. The Mayor and Trustee Wiegand were authorized to take up the question with Prof. Baker and also with Prof. Gage with' an idea of thinning out the shrubbery at the corner of the Parkway and E. Upland Road and Highland Avenue and E. Upland Road. The Clerk reported that the New York State Electric Corporation refused to extend their lines farther than three hundred feet for the installation of a single light and the Clerk was therefore authorized to secure from the Electric Corporation the installation of two lights on E. Upland Road and two on the Parkway. Trustee Wiegand reported concerning his investigation of an ordinance for the Village against fireworks and air guns and any action concerning such an ordinance was deferred. . Y--'Village Clerk Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees ' of the.Village of Cayuga Heights held on October 18th, 1928. Present : W. L. Williams, Mayor S. S. Garrett, Trustee K. M. Wiegand, Trustee The minutes of the last previous meeting were read.and.approved. The Mayor reported that the Committee appointed to see Mr. Baker concerning the shrubbery at the corner of his property on the Parkway and E. Upland Road had taken the matter up with him .and secured his consent to the cutting out of some of the shrubbery . which had been done, giving a better.view of the streets at that corner. He also reported that the same question had been taken up with Professor Gage, at the corner of Highland and E.-Upland Road, with the same results, it having been agreed with Professor Gage that the Village would plant barberry where the larger shrubs had been taken out. The Mayor was authorized to take up the question of the removal of some of the shrubbery at the corner of :Highland Avenue) , and Wyckoff Road, in order .to improve the view there for traffic. The following bills were approved and ordered paid 133 HIGHWAY FUND H. C. Conley Construction Company for improvement of streets in the Village of Cayuga Heights was approved in accordance with the terms of the contract. It was decided that the mud hole in Iroquois Road back of the property owned by G. H. Horton, should be eliminated by the Village ' installing the necessary drain with the understanding, however, that Mr. Horton should take such.steps necessary, however, to prevent the discharge from the septic tank on his property from flowing into the street. The blueprint of Overlook Road which Prof. Dwight Sanderson submitted was considered, but any'action thereon deferred until the next meeting of the Board when more information will be available. The question of making annual contributions to the fire depart- ment of the City.of Ithaca for the service rendered by it..to.the Village of Cayuga Heights was discussed, but no action taken.
