of the Village of Cayuga Heights
held on November 19th, 1928.
Present :

The minutes of the meeting of November 14th; 1928,.were read and
approved.
The bill of the P. D. Conley Construction Company totalling
$91369.33
being the balance due on the.contract for the improvement.,of Oakhill Road,
Oakhill Place, E. Upland Road and Iroquois Road was approved for
payment,
subject, however, to the completion of the "work and the checking
of the
amounts with the terms of the contract.

The matter of Overlook Road being taken over by the

Cayuga. Heights was discussed but no action taken..

The Mayor reported that he had received a notification from an
official of the City of Ithaca that the Village owed the sum of $40.00
per hydrant as a hydrant rental for• the hydrants in the Village of .
Cayuga Heights. This matter was discussed and it was decided that a
letter should be prepared by the Mayor and forwarded to the Mayor of
Ithaca requesting a conference with certain city officials over this
question.
A letter from Mr. Charles Newman concerning the triangle between
Kline Road and Wyckoff Road at Cayuga Heights road was presented
stating. that Mr. Newman was of the impression that deeds could be
secured deeding this property to the Village. It was duly voted to
have Mr. Newman secure these deeds if possible and should there be any
question about the building of a gas station on this triangle it should
be referred to the Zoning officers of the Village.
The Clerk was requested to write a letter to the citizens of the
Village requesting them not to put tin cans, bottles, etc. in with
the soft garbage. 4
The Mayor appointed a committee consisting of Mr. Charles Blood,
Prof.. A. B. Recknagel and Dr. A. C. Durand with C. Tracy,Stagg as an
alternate in the event that anyone of the above mentioned three should
decline to serve as a nominating committee for preparing a slate of
Village officers to be elected at the next annual meeting of the Village.
The question of developing a building code for the Village was
discussed, but no action taken.
The payment of the rental to the Board of Education of the
Village for use of the school house for holding meetings of the
Board of Trustees was authorized upon the proper presentation of
a bill from the Board of Education.

It was duly resolved that
the property owners adjoining
Road between Triphammer Road.and.The
Oakhill
Road, Oakhill Place, E. Upland
Parkway,
and Iroquois Road between The Parkway and Highland
Road be
assessed
for two - thirds of the
cost of the curbs and gutters
installed
in these
streets and that such
assessment be payable in three
annual
payments.
Two - thirds of the contract price for this work is
$.84
per foot.
