The Mayor was authorized to take up the question of assessment
with Mr. McPherson.and find out if he would be willin g • to: cooperate
in an advisory capacity in the making of assessments in-the Village..

The matter of the drain in front of the Mason property
on Wyckoff Road was discussed and it was determined that Mr.
Hurlburt, the Street Commissioner, shoyald be instructed to get the
City of Ithaca to take care of this if possible, but if he cannot
succeed in this, then it should be taken care of as part o£'the.
Village road work.
On motion duly made and seconded the Clerk was authorized to
send to each resident of the Village a letter requesting them to
watch the street lights nearest their property and report either to
the New York State Gas & Electric Corporation or the Mayor whenever
a light is found out.
The Treasurer and the Clerk of the Village were authorized to
secure bonds in the sum of $10,000. and $5,000. respectively.
The Treasurer was authorized to purchase a suitable book for
keeping his accounts.
Trustee K. M. Wiegand was requested to see Professor Baker
concerning the shrubbery standing on the corner of his property
and obstructing the view from Upland Road and the Parkway.
There was a discussion concerning the abandonment of the west
end of Kline Road after it crosses Wyckoff Road and the Mayor was
requested to secure information concerning the ownership of the
property and the disposition of the road should it be abandoned.
