The return ofkL. A. Maynard as Clerk reporting all taxes and paving
assessments collected with the exception of $23.281! was examined and
found correct.
On motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously.vo.ted -(See
Sea. 144, Village Laws) that North Ove look Road ;be accepted as.a
Village street with a width of 20 feed upon completion of items 1 to 4
inclusive in the motion passed with respect to this Road at the•meeting
of. Oct. 13, provided also that the width of 20.feet be approved by
Engineer Crandall.

The Clerk was instructed to send statements to the property
owners notifying them of their assessments and .stating that the, entire
amount would be due and payable on or before December 1, but that if
the property owner preferred the- total.could be paid in three annual
installments begirniing June 1,:1927, with interest from December 1,''
1927, the installment.and interest fore given year to,be billed
with the regular village taxes.
A letter from Bngineer.Crandall was read giving an estimate of
the cost of a survey for segering the Village.
A letter was read from the Tompkins County Treasurer enclosing.
a check for 023.28 covering the returned taxes.of the Village. The

President Williams reported correspondence with'Corporal
Kelly .
of the State Police, 'regarding unlighted oars parking
at night,on
Highland Road. ;
President Williams read a letter from Mr.'J. 'T,'Newman calling
attention to the fact that Oak Hi11.Plaae.and Iroquois Place were
deeded to the Village in 1922. ®.
A letter visa read from W. M.,/3arger asking permission to con -
J etruct a water main on an un -named road extending from Triphammer
Road to Parkway and the President was instructed to confer with Mr.
Barger and suggest to him that an agreement be made whereby the
water main would be turned over to the village immediately after its -
construotion, Mr. Barger reserving the right to prorate the cost
among other property owners along said un -named road.
Moved and carried that the Clerk be authorized to purchase a
4- drawer steel file for records.
The resignation of L. A. Idaynard, as Clerk, effective December 1
was accepted. On motion duly made and seoonded,Idr. L. 11. Simmons was
appointed Clerk vice L. A. Maynard, resigned.
Moved and carried that the President be empowered to'diredt
Commissioner Hurlburt to erect signs at the important entrances to
the Village, in accordance with the suggeations.of Corporal Kelly..
The Clerk read a letter from E. H...Wanzer.giving his,assent to,
the conditions of the agreement relative�to: the sanitary sewer.as
set forth in the Clerk's letter of Ootober; 15.
Moved and carried that.the Clerk be directed,to advise Mr. C.
M. Nevin of.the agreement made by.the:Board and Mr. Nevin relative
to the donation to the Village of the water main',00nstrueted by Mr.
I-
ill.
Nevin, this agreement being 'set forth in the minutes of October 2,
1926, and that Mr. Nevin be informed that the Village should be given
a deed without reservation in accordance with the aforesaid agreement.

A letter was presented from the New York State Department of
Health stating that Frank Hanshaw had been appointed Registrar of
Vital Statistics for the Village of Cayuga Heights on the 4th day of
March, 1926, for a term ending December 31st, 1929. This appointment
was made by K. M. Wiegand then President of the Village of Cayu a
Heights. (For details see file "Registrar of Vital Statisticsif�

On motion duly made and seconded,the Treasurer was.instructed
to pay the interest on bonds due January lst, 19280 and to take up
bond No. 6 in the amount of $500.00 and to pay a certificate of
indebtedness of $800.00, together with interest thereon of 920.00
as follows

There was an informal discussion of the matter of parking cars
on Highland Avenue.
Mr. L. A. Maynard, former Clerk of the Village, reported the
sending of a letter to Professor C. M.. Nevin advising him of the ,
agreement accepted by the Board under date of October;2nd, 1926,
whereby the water main,constructed.by him was to:be donated,to the
Village without restriction.
The report on the private sanitary sewer to be constructed by
Mr. Wanzer on Hanshaw, Cayuga Heights and Kline,Roads Was received
and placed on file.
The matter of additional street lights was discussed and
deferred until the next regular meeting of the Board.
The matter of the cost of the construction of plans fora,
sanitary sewer for the Village was discussed and action thereon
deferred until the next regular meeting of :the Board. ..
The matter of a name for the short street leading from the .
Parkway to Triphammer Road was discussed but'no decision'as'to the
name to be adopted was made.
The Clerk was requested to look up the law concerning;,the rights
of the Village in demanding the abatement.of,..the anuisanoe.caused-by
the open well on the Austin T. White property.

The Treasurer reported that six property owners along the
Parkway had paid in full their share of the assessment of the cost
of the curb and gutter constructed on said Parkway.
