" it " it N Interest .......... 22.50 Drains and Culverts Fund Ithaca Savings Bank - Bond 4 Principal,.**..*..., 250.00 " " I if It 4 Interest ..........: 11.25 Upon motion duly made and seconded the following ordinance was enacted and ordered spread upon the minutes: "Resolved; that the Board of Trustees, under'and by virtue of the power in it vested under.the'provisions of the Village Law of the State of, New York, hereby ordains and enacts the following ordinanoe: No person, firm or corporation shall make any excavation in any street, highway, alley or public place, or under any sidewalk, without first obtaining a written permit from the Street Commissioner, and a eopy.of such permit shall be posted In a conspicuous place at the scene of the work and so main- tained during the continuance of the work. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to make any excavation in any public street, highway, alley or public place, or under any sidewalk, shall file in the office of 'the village clerk an- undertaking good for three years, acceptable to the Street Commissioner, to the effect that the Village of Cayuga Heights shall be held harmless from all claims, demands, suits, costs and damages that may result by reason of such excavation, and shall thereafter keep the. same in repair to the satisfaction of the Street Commissioner for a period of three years. The exoavation shall be done and the work completed with all possible dispatch and in such manner and within such time as may be required 'by such superintendent; and during the progress of such work one -half of the street, highway, alley or public place shall be kept open and free for the passage of horses and vehicles. Such excavations shall be carefully guarded by the person, firm or corporation causing the same to be made, with a good and sufficient fence or barrier, and properly lighted from sundown to sunrise with red lights in such manner as to '• indicate the excavation and to prevent accidents. Such-street, highway, alley or public place upon the surface thereof shall be restored by the person, firm or corporation making such excavation to good condition to the aatieffaetion of the street Commissioner, and in case any defect in such restoration becomes apparent such person, firm or corporation shall fully and satisfactorily restore the same when notified by the Street Commissioner. Any person, firm or corporation violating this ordinance shall be subject to. a penalty of twenty -five dollars, and in addition to such penalty a violation shall , constitute disorderly conduct and a person•violating.the same shall •be •a disorderly person.,, ® Voted to adjourn. .Gu esidenTA— Vil ag C er] Village of Cayuga Heights. General Fund Andrus & Church ......Street Permits ................. 08.50 Upon motion dull* made, aeconded and passed uiiaminously the following resolution was adopted: Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights that there be appointed by the said Board for the. said village a Zoning Commission; to consist of a chairman and two other members, for the purpose of recommending boundaries.of zoning districts to be created within the said village, and.appropriate regulations to be enforced therein, in accordance with-Article VI -A of the Village Law.
