White Treasurer The following resolution was presented by the President: - Where as , a t a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the p g Village of Cayuga Heights held on the 16th day of August, 1923, that portion of the expense of paving Highland Road which was to be assessed upon adjoining lands pursuant to resolutions of the Board of Trustees of said Village heretofore duly adopted, was duly assessed upon the lands adjoining said road and benefitted thereby; and Whereas, the aggregate amount of such assessment now remaining M unpaid is $139401.419 Resolved that a Certificate of Indebtedness for the payment of seventy -five hundred dollars in five equal annual installments be issued, the first payment to be made on the first day of July, 1924 and the subsequent payments to be made annually thereafter with interest payable semi - annually on the first days of January and July at the rate of five per cent per annum; interest and principal payable at the Banking Office of the Ithaca Savings Bank. with the privilege to the Village to pay the whole or any additional portion of the principal on any date when interest is payable. That the President be authorized and directed to issue such Certificate for and in the name of the Village and to attach the corporate seal thereto, and that the same be attested by the Village Clerk. That the said Certificate of Indebtedness be sold and negotiated to the ao' Savings Bank at par that being the best price obtainable. Moved and seconded that the Treasurer be authorized two pay the principal and interest of two notes of $4,000.CD eaoh at the Ithaca Savings Bank, due October 1. 1923.
