Williams, Trustee C. H. Myers, ^ The results of the annual election on March 20, 1923 filed. The new members of the board filed their respective oaths of offlde. It was moved, seconded and carried,that Robert Matheson be appointed Village clerk. The results " of the vote on the proposition to borrow $10,000 is filed herewith. The following resolution was moved and seconded, to wit :. - At a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights, duly called and held upon the 2nd day. of April, 1923, in said village at 7.30 o'clock P.M.: Present: E. Dwight Sanderson, President, presiding and the following trustees, being all of .the trustees constituting said board, to wit : - Clyde H. Myers and Charles W. Williams. There was also present, Robert Matheson, Village Clerk. Whereas, at the regular annual election duly called and held. in said village at the designated poling place upon the.20th day of March,-1923, at 2o'clock.P.M. and closing at 6 o'clock P. M. the proposition set forth upon the ballot attached hereto was duly submitted to the voters of said village; and Whereas, thereafter Wi111am.A. Stocking and Charles.W. Williams acting as inspectors of election made a certificate in writing wherein and whereby it appears that 12 ballots were.cast.at such election, 10 of which were in favor of said proposition and 2 of which were cast against suoh proposition, which said certificate has been duly filed in said Village Clerk's office. Now,therefore,in order to carry out the mandate of the electors as expressed in said election, it is resolved that the t }' pavement of the highway designated and described in said proposition �.` shall be completed at an additional expenditure not exceeding p10,000, one -third of such expenditure to be borne by the Village i and two -third thereof by the abutting owners of said highway; the said two - thirds to be apportioned and assessed against such abutting owners according to their frontage in the manner provided by the statute; and it is further Resolved that for the purpose of having funds immediately I ! available to meet the expenses for such improvement the Board of �« Trustees of said Village borrow suhh sum or sums not exceeding rI ;'10,000 in the aggregate as in their judgment they deem necessary upon temporary loan from the Ithaca Savings Bank and pay interest thereon at the rate of V16, such loan or loans to be made in anticipation of the taxes of the current fiscal year and of assess- ments made or to be made on or before August 1, 1923,.against the abutting owners of the said Highland Road on account of their share of the expense of said improvement. It is further resolved that in the making of such loan or loans the President and Treasurer be, and they hereby are authorized to sign for and in behalf of the Village,such note or notes maturing not later than August 1, 1923 an may be required, And it is further resolved that the completion of the pavement of said road shall be under the immediate supervision of William Wetherell, subject however to the onntrol and direction at all times of the Board and its duly appointed representative. QUESTION SUBMITTED Shall the Board of Trustees of the Village of Caguya Hoights complete the pavement of Highland Road from the south village line to Upland Road and expend for such improvement, in addition to the sum hitherto authorized, the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) or so much thereof as may be necessary, one -third of such expenditure to be borne by the Village, and two -third thereof by the abutting I owners of said highway, the said two- thirds to be apportioned and assessed against such abutting owners according to their frontage in the manner provided by-the statute; and Shall the Board of Trustees borrow for the purpose aforesaid Thousand Dollars ($10,000) in the from the Ithaca Savings Bank and rate of &%, such loan or loans to taxes of the current fiscal year made on or before August 1, 1923 the said Highland Road on account maid improvement. Carried Ayes - 3' Nayes- 0 The question of a survey of the water mains, gas pipes, eto, in the Village was brought'up and the Clerk authorized to refer,the matter to Mr. J. T. Newman. Myers, Moved, and seconded that the Treasurer execute a bond for $2,000 and file with the clerk. Carried Ayes - 3 Nayes - 0 Moved and seconded that the collect6r. file a bond for $1,000, with the village clerk. Carried Ayes - 3. Nayes - 0 It was moved, and' seconded that the Culvert on Parkway just north of intersection of Iroquois Road'be: rebuilt. The rebuilding is due to the former culvert caving in and blocking channel. Williams, Moved and seconded that the.assensment roll as completed be filed with village clerk as official tax roll anti the rate be fixed at $7.00 per thousand dollars valuation.' M. at the Ithaca Country Club in regard to a partial assessment for the improvement of Highland Road be delivered to property owners affected thereby not later than bray 11, 1923.
