Minutes 9/26/19848/29/84 continued Motion made by Trustee Anderson; seconded by Trustee Kira: RESOLUTION 3526 - VILLAGERS REQUIRED TO FOLLOW SET PROCEDURE FOR FORMATION OF SIDEWALK DISTRICT AND TO FILE PETITION BY OCTOBER 15, 1984 It VOTED to encourage'Villagers who wish to form a sidewalk district in ' the Village to follow the procedures set forth in Section 1, of the Village Local Law No. 1 of 1966, and to present a petition together with the appropriate description of the boundaries of the proposed district, petition and bounday description to be in the hands of the Village Clerk by October 15, 1984. Voted, to approve minutes of a regular meeting held August. 22, and.a Special meeting held August 29, 1984 as previously furnished Trustees in Xerox Form. Unanimously passed. Miotin made by Trustee Pimentel, seconded by Trustee Anderson: VOTED to approve the Abstract of Audited Vouchers dated September 17, 1984 in the following amounts: General Fund- $22,827.54; SEwer Fund - $17,493.36. Unanimously passed. � *r The Mayor read his report and it is on file in the Village Office. The Mayor read a petition from residents and property owners from the Pleasant Grove Lane subdivision. Motion by Trustee Bennett, seconded by Trustee Allee: RESOLUTION 3527 - TO EXTEND TRASH REMOVAL SERVICE TO PROPERTIES ON PLEASANT GROVE LANE VOTED to extend to the residents and landowners whose properties abut on Pleasant Grove Lane trash removal service on the same terms as apply to property owners and residents in the remainder of the Village. °� 9/17/84 9/17/84 continued Trustee Allee Voting Yes Trustee Kira Voting Yes Trustee Anderson Voting Yes Trustee Philbrick Voting Yes ® Trustee Bennett Voting Yes Trustee Pimentel Voting Yes *r* Motion made by Trustee Pimentel, seconded by TrusteeAnderson: RESOLUTION 3528 - CONDUCT PRELIMINARY NEGOTIATIONS RE TOWN OF LANSING'S APPLICATION FOR SEWER SERVICE VOTED to authorize the Mayor, the Attorney, and the Engineer to conduct preliminary negotiations concerning application of the Town of Lansing for sewer - service for the proposed Town of Lansing Sewer District. The Treasurer spoke of his intention of resigning his office as of July 1, 1985. He thought it desirable to have a thorough audit of Village books prior to his retirement and put the Board on notice that he willtAnclude a sum for this purpose in the Budget. The Treasurer and the Attorney called the attention of the Board to the fact that there was a state law regarding increase of Veterans' benefits. The Attorney presented for attention of the Board adjustments in the Village's rules ' on Veterans. He urged immediate action to have a public hearing. Motion made by Trustee Pimentel, seconded by Trustee Bennett: RESOLUTION 3529 - HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON VETERANS' EXEMPTIONS DOTED to accept the Local Law concerning Veteran's Exemptions, as drafted gy the Attorney, and to hold a Public Hearing on the subject at 4p.m, at the Village Hall, 836 Renshaw Road, on September 26, 1984. Motion made by Trustee Kira, seconded by Trustee Anderson: RESOLUTION 3530 - AUTHORIZE CORNELL UNIVERSITY TO CONNECT SEWER AT NORTHEAST CORNER OF JESSUP ROAD AND TRIPHAMMER ROAD VOTED to authorize Cornell University to make a connection for sewer service between the building at the Northeast corner of Jessup Road and Triphammer Road and the Village sewer line on using the Village right -of -way, on such terms as to the installation of the line as the,Engineer may prescribe. The Board accepts this figure and will so inform the County Planning Committee. Motion made by Trustee Allee, seconded by Trustee Pimentel: RESOLUTION 3532 - REQUEST TOWN OF LANSING TO PROVIDE COPY OF TOWN RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO ESTABLISH SEWER DISTRICT VOTED to request the Town of Lansing to provide a copy of the Towns resolution stating its intent to establish .a Sewer District. OTHERS PRESENT: Captain Jackson. The Mayor stated that the purpose of the hearing was to consider a proposed Local Law No. 1 of 1984 of the Village of Cayuga Heights, dealing with Veterans' Exemptions. Copies of the proposed Law were available for inspection and discussion.
