HomeMy WebLinkAboutReport of the Engineer Aug 1984VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS Report of the Engineer August 1984 STREETS Iroquois Road recycling project has produced 800 tons of asphalt concrete base. About 500 tons will be used for base pavement for Iroquois Road. The remainder will be stockpiled for use on other Village patching, shoulder, and paving jobs. On the upper section of the road, to replace the concrete curbing, an asphalt curb will be installed. Lisa Place is scheduled for paving in September 1984 by D & J Paving Co. who is under contract with Ivar Jonson and the Village. The money for the paving is held in an escrow account with the Citizens Savings Bank. SIDEWALKS A request for bids for paving Village sidewalks with lh" of asphalt concrete was advertised August 11. Bids are to be received by August 22, 1984 at 2:00 P.M. and will be available for the Board meeting. 825 HANSHAW ROAD The contractor is in process of repairing, repainting and cleaning the building. A new gravity cellar drain is to be installed by Village forces. The rugs are at the cleaners for a "factory" cleaning. BRUSH CUT BACK Letters have been prepared and a number have been mailed out to Villagers for their cooperation. The second mowing of lots by the Village to be charged to the respective property owner is scheduled for next week. Report of the Zoning Officer Building Commissioner During the past month four zoning permits were issued. One was for a zoning interpretation of the changing of a property line between two buildable lots. The other three were for additions with a total estimated construction cost of $71,600. Three building permits were issued for $71,600 of construction cost. Two road opening permits were issued. The Zoning Board of Appeals met July 12 and granted a variance to Prof. Baer from Section 7a of the Zoning Ordinance - Size of Lot.
