SIDEWALKS
The short piece of connecting walk at 323 Highland Road has been completed
except for grading and seeding. The Sidewalk Committee met on July 6 to plan
the Public Hearing on sidewalks which was held on July 9.
STREETS
Iroquois Road recycling project is in process. The asphalt paving has been re-
moved and stored. It has been tested. Stone of a certain size will be added
and additional asphalt (about 5 gal. per ton) will be added to bring the mix up
to state standards. It will be relaid as a 3� to 4 inch base in two lifts and
sealed. The gravel road base will have to be graded to remove most of the crown.
The curbs on the upper sections of the road were in poor shape and had to be re-
moved. They will be replaced by a small asphalt swale at the edge of the road
to carry the water to the catch basins.On the south side of the upper section a
weep drain was installed to keep the ground water table low in the road area.
SEWER PLANT
Envirex has informed us that the shipping date for the belt filter will be
September 7. C&S consulting engineer has submitted preliminary plans. These
have been reviewed by the Engineer and Sewer Plant Operator. Construction work
can start upon receipt of final plans due this week.
FIRE STATION ROOF REPAIR
Three different methods and prices of roof repair have been received. A decision
should be made so that this construction work can get out for bids and work com-
pleted this summer.

During the last month 7 zoning permits were issued for alterations and additions.
for an estimated construction cost of $69,200. One of these was for a sign at
the Corners Auto Repair and gas station.
Nine building permits were issued for alterations or additions for an estimated
construction cost of $90,100. Four of these permits were for roof reconstruction
work.
The ZBA reconvened an adjourned meeting and voted to grant Mrs. Dolph's request
to cover more than 12% of her lot area with permanent roofing. Prof. Baer has re-
quested a variance from Section 7a - Size of Lots. The ZBA will hold a public
hearing at 7:30 p.m. on July 18 to consider the request.
