Sunset Drive has been resurfaced. SEWER LINES With the help of F.L.C. contractors, sewer line leaks have been fixed and sewer manholes in the Village and Town of Ithaca were repaired. Town of Ithaca was billed for the work. SEWER PLANT The-Engineer met with C&S consulting engineers and our plant operator to work on plans and scheduling of construction work to ready the plant for our new belt filter due in August 1984, SIDEWALKS At the request of the Board, the sidewalk work on White Park Road was put on hold. The contractor was notified. The residents were notified. The sidewalk (concrete) at 208 Iroquois Road hag been replaced. The sidewalk committee met and is working on policy recommendations. VILLAGE HALL Under slates on the back "shed" roof have been discovered to be cracked letting water into a large beam. This is not work that was covered under the contract for slate repair which was on a per slate replaced basis. A• quotation for repave work on the roof and beam is $1,688.00. It is recommended that Harold A. Wright. be hired to complete this work. During the month of May, the Engineer has worked 168 hours for the Village - an average of 7 -2/3 hours.per working day and has been on Grand :Jury duty. Therefore he has not had time to complete his-job description requested by the Board. REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER Duringithe past month two zoning applications were denied to construct houses on a lot less than 150 feet average depth and 125 feet average width. In both cases it is the intent of the owner to apply for a variance from the Zoning Board of Appeals. Also during the month 7 zoning permits were issued for an estimated con- struction cost of $69,000 and 9 building permits were issued for an estimated con- struction cost of $74,175. The Zoning Board of Appeals met on June 6, 1984 and denied a request from Jean Locey to construct a garage closer to the sideyard property line than 15 feet. The Board also tabled a request of June Dolph to construct a permanent roof in excess of 12% of her land area because of the absence'of a Board member and a 2 to 2 vote of the Board members present.
