REPORT OF THE ENGINEER

SEWAGE. TREATMENT PLANT
Envirex, the company'that was awarded the bid for a belt filter press by the
Board after careful consideration, has been notified to proceed with the manu-
facturer, which will take 14 weeks. Consideration of the sludge conveyor bids
and other means of providing loading of sludge is in process with the consulting
engineers, Calocerinos & Spina, the Village Engineer, and plant operator Gary
Gleason.
SEWER LINES
Replacement of a sewer line on Hanshaw Road is scheduled to start April 2.
Two other line stubs off Highland Road will be repaired as soon as Hanshaw
Road line is finished.
STREETS
Extennive tree trimming and removal of brush and trees within the road right -of-
way on Pleasant Grove and Hanshaw Road (Savage Farm) is in process.
There are a number of roads in the Village that have less than a 50' right -of-
way and are shown on the assessment map as not beloogin' to any adjacent: property
owner. Some of these are considered as Village Roads W .c. Overlook Road (201);
Hillside Drive (331); Iroquois Place (251)3. Some are treated as private drive-
ways [i.e. Strawberr -i Lane (15' -201); Parkway Plaen (20' -251); Country Club Road,
West (50')]. The history and ownership of these roads is not clear. The services
provided by the Village to residences abutting these roads is not consistant.
Requests have been received for the Village to "take care "of some of these roads
considered as driveways. Ownership of road right -of -way and Board policies need
to be established.
REPORT OF THE 'ZONING OFFICER
APRIL 2, 1984
One Zoning /Building permit was issued for an addition of an apartment. Estimated
construction cost $2,000.
Village Zoning Officer will attend a workshop on State Building Code enforcement
procedures held March 29th at 7:30 p.m. at the County Court House.
