SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for February 1984
The Police Department handled 62 complaints and investigated
5 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 27
traffic tickets and 29 parking tickets issued.
There were three felony complaints, two•for burglary and
one for grand larceny. There were seventeen misdemeanor
complaints, three for issuing bad checks, three petit larceny,
three criminal mischief, three criminal trespass, two aggra-
vated harassment, two falsely reporting an incident (bomb
threats) and one assault third degree.
There was a total of .$636.95 in property reported lost or
stolen, and $260.65 in property recovered by the Police
Department.*
The renovations on the Village Hall Annex are proceeding
nicely, and the Conference Room is almost completed and
will be used for the first time for Village Court on Tuesday
evening, March 20, 1984, when the Village Meeting Room will
be in use for the Annual Village Election. Trustee Robinson
has offered to make draperies for the Annex, and they will
be installed within the next month. I will update the
Village Board on our expenses to date,.and request further
approval for additional anticipated expenses.
The full -time officers worked 20 hours overtime and the part -
time officers worked 79 hours during the month.
