HomeMy WebLinkAboutFire Chief's Report for February 1984CAYUGA HEIGHTS FIRE DEPARTMENT 194 PLEASANT GROVE ROAD ITHACA, NEW YORK March 19,1981+ To: Honorable Frederick G. Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees From: Francis L. Miller, Fire Chief Re: Fire Chief's Report for February 1984 The Cayuga Heights Fire Department had less fire calls and rescue calls than normal in the month of February. The number of incident calls was about normal. There were 5 fire calls, 4 rescue calls, and 5 incident calls for the month. The Fire Department responded to 1 accidental alarm, 2 alarm malfunctions, 1 chimney fire, and 1 good intent call. Members of the Department responded to 5 incident calls consisting of 1 gas flush, 1 investigation of electric short,l investigation of fire drill setting off an automatic alarm, and 2 basements were pumped. The Rescue Squad responded to 1 abdominal pain complaint, 1 cardiac problem, 1 possible fracture of an arm, and 1 assist Cayuga Heights Police with disorderly person. I would like to report to the Village Board that the Fire Department is finding the use of the old rescue.truck very handy. The students at B.O.C.E.S. have done some work on the vehicle and put a floor in so the wind does not drive the driver out. We use it for carrying pumps for pumping basements, stop signs for the Police Department, and any other equipment that needs transporting.
