Village of Cayuga Heights Report of the Police Chief for January 1984 The Police Department handled 64 complaints and investigated 11 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 27 traffic tickets and 32 parking tickets issued. There were'four felony complaints, two for residential burglaries, one of which was later declared unfounded, and two for commercial burglaries. There were thirteen misdemeanor complaints, eight for issuing bad checks, three petit larceny, one criminal trespass and one aggravated harassment. One person was arrested for driving while intoxicated. There was a total of $418.65 in property reported lost or stolen and $220.10 in property recovered by the Police Dept. The full -time officers worked 33 hours overtime and the part - time officers worked 39 hours during the month. We are proceeding with the renovations of the Village Hall Annex and the archway and new door are done. We are now beginning installation of the partitions and I will report on further progress at the Board Meeting. I have gone over several matters with the Public Safety Committee concerning a preliminary financial plan for the renovations of the Annex and also purchase of some equipment, all of which will come from the anticipated Sutton Estate income.
