Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights From:' Francis L. Miller, Fire Chief Re: Report of the Fire Chief for January 1984 The Fire Department responded to 5 fire calls in January. We went to 3 accidental alarms; 1 safety valve filled an apartment with steam; and 1 chimney fire. We handled 2 incidents for the month: One was to assist the Cayuga Heights•Folice in handling traffic at an accident on North Triphammer Road, and the other was to investigate a smoke detector which was sounding. The Rescue Squad had 6 calls for the month. They took care of 2 falls, 1 insulin problem, 1 difficulty breathing, 1 motor vehicle accident, and 1 assist another agency. The Seagrave pumper we have developed a leak in the radiator during a drill. Our mechanic removed the radiator and took it for repair. The repair shop recommended a new radiator for $1800. We had him repair the old one, and we will keep an eye on it. The truck was out of service for one week without it's radiator. Respectfully submitted, Francis L. Miller.
