ANNUAL REPORT
of the
ZONING OFFICER
February 21, 1984
During the past year 18 Zoning permits were issued for additions and
alterations that had an estimated construction cost of $204,300. Also
9 permits were issued for new homes or other structures for an estimated
construction cost of $1,470,000. 8 sign permits were issued and 10 road
opening permits were issued.
Occupancy of houses in the residential district with more than the maximum
allowable, two families plus two roomers, has been a problem for zjning
enforcement. Enforcement of the special permit to the Mobil Stop In Shop
requires continual inspection.
The Board of Trustees, acting as the Planning Board, approved the Jonson
development on Lisa Place, the Schoenfeld development on Lexington Road.
The Board did not approve a proposed development of the Belcher property
west of Route 13, or the Morusty division into two lots of his property
on North Triphammer Road.
The Zoning Board of Appeals met five times during the year; the Reeder
Gates request to exceed the allowable land coverage was denied; the
Wanderstock set back request was denied; the Morusty request for three
apartments was granted; the Lippincott request for set back was not
acted upon; and, the Warren Real Estate request for a sign was approved.
