For this reason, a clear statement of policy should be adopted by the Board at their December meeting. A proposed statement for Wage and Salary Administration for Public Works Employees is attached for the Board consider- ation. ASPHALT SCHOOL During the week of December 5 - as authorized by the Trustees;- the Engineer attended a Cornell Eooai Roads Program concentrated course on asphalt concrete. VILLAGE HALL REPAIRS Exterior repairs of pointing, slate replacement flashing, and gutters and down- spout. work have.beemicw*&etdd. Replacement of some wood beams should be done in conjunction with changes to be made in the annex. A quotation has been re- ceived from Harold A. Wright for interior work as follows: (Attached). This price would hold only if work can be scheduled for this winter, a slow time for painters. Work should be scheduled after changes are made in the Police Department area. There is not sufficient money in the 1983 -84 Village Hall Budget to cover the proposed cost. Does the Board wish to pursue any part or all of this work this winter? If not, it should be budgeted for next year as the Village Hall does need interior painting. SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT Calocerinos & Spina, Consulting Engineers, were notified of the Board accept- ance of their proposall dated November 14, 1983. A letter contract covering this work should be signed by both parties. VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER December, 1983 During the past month one sign permit was issued to Wordpi•o for a free standing sign and a sign on the front face of the new building at 410 E. Upland Road. Two road opening permits were issued for the construction of curbing and a re- taining wall within the road right of way; one at Devon Road and one at 603 Cayuga Heights Road. No zoning permits were issued. Negotiations with the First Bank Ithaca are in process to bring the signs of the bank at the Community Corners into compliance with the Village Sign Ordinance. Because the bank is in process of a merger, a request for a delay in changing signs until April 1, 1984 has been received. Mr. Morusty has been notified that his request for subdivision Was denied by the Board of Trustees and that this property, which is in violation of the Village Zoning and Sewer Ordinances, must be brought into compliance by Feb. 1, 1984. The time for compliance was set after consultation with the Village Attorney. Zoning Board of Appeals will meet Dec. 15 to hear a request for a sign variance from Warren Real Estate, new owners of 830 Hanshaw Road.
