SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for October 1983
The Police Department handled 71 complaints and investigated
10 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 60
traffic tickets and.137 parking tickets issued.
There were six felony complaints, three for grand larceny, one
burglary, one attempted burglary, and one grand larceny of
motor vehicle. There were eighteen misdemeanor complaints,
four for issuing bad checks, four petit larceny, three
criminal trespass, two-criminal mischief, two possession of
weapons, one aggravated harassment one criminal possession of
stolen property, and one illegal possession of fireworks.
One person was arrested for driving while intoxicated and two
persons were arrested for violations of the open alcoholic beverage
container law in Sunset Park. One juvenile was apprehended for
criminal possession of a dangerous weapon and one juvenile
was apprehended for illegdl'possession of fireworks.
There was a total of $4,055.26 in property reported lost or
stolen and $946.19 in property recovered by the Police Department.
The full -time officers worked 30 hours overtime and 23 hours
STOP -DWI overtime and the part -time officers worked 78 hours
during the month.
