Re: Report of the Fire Chief for September 1983
There were 9 fire calls in September.
6 Accidental Automatic alarms called us.
2 low water pressure
1 carpet installers hit alarm wire with hot iron
1 carpenters sanding set off detector
1 malfunction of a detector
1 champagne cork hit heat detector
1 Glove fire
1 Gas odor
1 Electrical problem
There were 2 incident calls.
1 Self- cleaning oven filled house with smoke
1 Assist person with a dead dog
There were 19 Rescue Squad calls.
2 Fall from trees
1 Fall in apartment
1 Difficulty breathing
2 Dislocated elbows
1 Diabetic problem
2 Knee injuries
1 Bruise on head
1 Fall from ladder
1 Seizure
1 Man down
2 Cardiac problems
1 Head injury
2 Ankle injuries
1 Female hemmoraging
The new rescue truck was put in service on September 24. It has been
on several calls already. The Rescue Squad reports it works better than
they could have hoped for.
