Triphammer patch paving of the two culvert road openings was completed last week by a contract paver for $1,600. Repaving of N. Triphammer Road from Texas Lane to the north Village line should be done next year. Spray patching of Streets according to the 1982 -83 Road Repair Program has been started with Texas Lane and Texas Lane extension.. These roads needed extensive patching and should be double surface treated next year. SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT The Engineer and Plant Operator, Gleason, were flown down to Stamford, Conn. by a manufacturer's representative, to inspect a belt fitter press.operation. Efficiency, O & M costs, labor costs, downtime, and owner's opinion of this belt filter press were al). favorable. Stamford's figures were that in six months their belt filter presses paid for themselves. Investigations are under way to determine if a licensed professional engineer is required for design and installation of a belt filter press.for the Village. SIDEWALKS More requests for sidewalk repairs have been received and requests for new side- walks. Patching of dangerous spots have been made. PERSONNEL Bruce Hoyt has been discharged from the hospital and expects to be back at limited duty in a week. There have been a rash of small injuries on the job in the past few weeks. Safety on the job has and will be emphasized with the men. VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER July 1983 In the last month two zoning permits were issued for construction of additions for an estimated construction cost of $25,000; also one road opening permit was issued. The Zoning Officer has consulted with the Village Attorney on the Morusty case. A submission by Morusty for division of the property into two parcels and for construction (after the fact) of living quarters in the rear "barn" is expected before the July Board meeting. If received, it will be presented to the Board.
