Re: Report of the Fire Chief for May 1983
During the month of May 1983, all the equipment of the Fire Department was
returned to service. The American La France pumper had the pump repacked and
was returned to service in 2 days. The Seagrave was returned to us after 3
weeks with a new pump shaft installed in the pump and new injectors installed
in the engine.
We had 4 fire calls this month. There was a van on fire behind the Laundromat,
there was a trash fire at DeWitt Jounior High School, an accidental alarm at
115 Ridgewood Road, and a tractor fire on the Cornell Gulf Course.
We had 1 incident call to a home on Oak Hill Place to check out any danger
from some wiring on an outside porch.
Rescue calls numbered 8 for the month.
1 motor vehicle accident,3 injured by
breathing, and 1 unknown problem.
They can be broken down as 1 stroke,
falls, 1 over -dose, 1 difficulty
Respectfully submitted,
Francis L. Miller
Fire Chief
