SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for April 1983
The Police Department handled 81 complaints and investigated
7 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 14
traffic tickets and 44 parking tickets,issued.
There were three felony complaints, one for
burglary and one criminal possession of for
were twenty -two misdemeanor complaints, six
criminal mischief, four issuing bad checks,
two public lewdness, one criminal trespass,

One person was arrested for criminal possession of a forged instrument
as a misdemeanor.
In January, a $50 donation was made to the Village for the Police
Department and the money was transfered into the Police equipment
account by the Village Treasurer. After all equipment bills have been
paid, there is a balance of $48.08 in the two equipment accounts.
i would like to recommend that the Village Board authorize the
transfer of $151.92 into the police equipment account which will
allow the purchase of a scanner radio receiver for police car #125,
which will cost $200. This money would come from the $250 received
from the lease of space in our basement for.electronic switching
equipment which we have used for police purposes in the past.
There was a total of $591.73 in property reported.lost or stolen
and $60.73 in property recovered by the Police Department.
The full -time officers worked 26 hours overtime and the part -time
officers worked 40 hours during the month.
