Re: Fire Chief's Report for January 1983
The Fire Department answered 7 fire calls, 1 incident call, and 11 rescue
calls during the month of January. The fire calls included 3 actual fires.
One mutual aid car fire in the Village of Lansing, one car fire in a garage
under the house, and one kitchen fire made for a busy month. The other
fire calls were 1 false alarm at North East Elementary School, 2 false
alarms at B.O.C.E.S., and 1 small trash fire at DeWitt Junior High School.
One officer assisted the Cayuga Heights Police Department on a public
service call'to check out a leaking water heater.
The 11 Rescue Squad calls broke down as follows:
2 Cardiac calls
1 Abdominal pain
1 Fall
4 Motor vehicle accidents
1 Mental problem
1 Diabetic coma
1 Hip injury
We had a new storm window put on the bunker's room at the Fire House this
month which will keep our bunker warmer and help to cut the heat bills.
Respectfully submitted,
Francis L. Miller
Fire Chief
