Re: Fire Chief's Report for December 1982
The fire calls.for December added up to 5. We had 1 standby for Lansing
while a plane in trouble was landing at the airport. We had a trash fire
in Dewitt Jounior High School.A'Aumpster fire at a fraturnity house on
highland Road, dmoke in a house on Winthrop Drive, and a false alarm on
Ridgewood Road finished the month with no property damage.
There were 2 incident calls handled during the month. A strange noise
coming from a wood burning stove concerned one property-owner enough to
call and have someone investigate. Asmoke detector chirping because it
needed a new battery, was the second call.
The Rescue Squad had 11 calls to bring their total for the year up to
120. The breakdown of those calls is:
2 Unknown problems:
1 Burn
1 Personal Illness
1 Motor Vehicle Accident
1 Seizure
1 Fractured Ankle
1 Difficulty Breathing
1 Abdominal Pain
1 Stroke
1.Hemorrhaging
