RE: Report of the Fire Chief for the month of November 1982
There were 7 fire calls during November. We found a loose belt on a washing
machine cause smoke in the building at Warrenwood Apartments. We were called
to Pyramid Mall to assist Lansing Fire Department. We investigated a mattress
fire in a private home. We nut out a motor fire in a clothes washer in the
apartments at 709 Triphammer Road. We found an accidental alarm triggered by
smoke from cooking. We had a car fire at 109 Cayuga Heights Road and we
checked out an odor of smoke at Hasbrouck Apartments.
We had 1 incident call at 305 Roat Street to check out a strange smell.in the
house. We could find nothing except the possibility that some smoke drifting
thru the neighborhood found it's way into the home.
The Rescue Squad had 11 calls in the month of November broken down as follows:
1 Cardiac problem
2
Difficulty breathing
1 Full arrest
1
Choking
1 Seizure
1

1 Personal injury
1

1 Unknown problem
1

The bids for a new rescue truck are out and have to be returned by UEbember 15.
We should have a report for the board at the December meeting. .
