SUBJECT: Report of the Police Chief for October 1982
The Police Department handled 67 complaints and investigated
10 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 60
traffic tickets and 52 parking tickets issued.
There were three felony complaints, two for attempted burglary
and one burglary. There were thirteen misdemeanor complaints,
seven for petit larceny, two issuing bad checks, one criminal
mischief, one criminal trespass, one.aggravated harassment, and
one attempted petit larceny.
There were two persons arrested for criminal trespass in connection
with their illegal entry into the Cayuga Heights Elementary School
at about 1:00 A.M. and one person was arrested for unlawfully
dealing with a child (furnishing alcoholic beverage to person
under 18) in connection with the same incident. One person was
also arrested for disorderly conduct. Two juveniles were
apprehended in violation of the curfew, one juvenile was
apprehended for unlawful possession of marijuana, and one
juvenile was apprehended for possession of stolen property.

There was a total of $696.80 in property reported lost or stolen
and $57.80 in property recovered by the Police Dept.
The full -time officers worked 26 hours overtime during the month
and the part -time officers worked 12 hours.
With two exceptions, halloween was relatively quiet in the Village
and we again had three teen agers ride in the patrol cars during
our halloween patrol.
