Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights Re: Fire Chief's Report for the month of March 1982 After a very busy January and February, the month of March slowed down for the Fire Department. We only had 4 fire calls, 1 incident and 14 Rescue Squad calls. The fire calls were all minor with no damage because of fire. Included were 1 overheated boiler, 1 accidental alarm caused by the telephone lines, 1 waste basket with discarded cigar in it, and 1 small grass fire on route 13 which was out before we could find it. The 1 incident call was to assist Lansing ambulance in unloading a patient returning from the Hospital. The Rescue Squad answered 3 motor vehicle accidents, 2 difficulty breathing calls, 2 cardiac calls, 2 person down, 1 fainting problem, and 1 assist Bangs ambulance. The Rescue Squad membership is reaching higher in training levels all the time. We now have 5 members at or near the level of advanced training which allows the use of drugs and IV insertions under the orders of the doctor in the emergency room at the hospital. We also have 5 more members well on their way to becoming Emergency Medical Technicians. Respectfully submitted, Francis L.: Miller Fire Chief "HELP PREVENT FIRES"
