Report of Engineer
April 1982
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
Dried digested sludge has been hauled to the Lindstrom landfill at the rate of
2 truck loads a day. This is inefficient and will drag out removal time so
negotiations were completed to increase the daily number of truck loads the
landfill will take.
SEWER LINE
The railroad trunk line from Lansing is in operation. Tyler Road sewer line in
the Village of Cayuga Heights is connected to the trunk and therefore is available
to existing houses and future houses on Tyler Road. The Sewer Ordinance requires
home owners to connect at their expense unless exempted by the Board. The Board
had exempted the houses on Tyler Road because a sewer was not available. Now that
a sewer is available, does the Board wish to discontinue the exemption? The
Engineer recommends discontinuance.
SEWER RENTS
A resident upon being notified that his sewer rent would be two units because of
an apartment in his home, requested that a survey be made of all houses connected
to the sewer system so that all uninformed users such as he would be paying the
proper rent.
WATER LINE BREAK ON HIGHLAND ROAD
Emergency repair by the Water Commission with help of our truck and driver. Break
was in 1" copper lateral, not in main, which was put in in 1979 by Wimsatt and
Briggs. Bill from Water Commission plus the time for our men and equipment should
be passed on to Wimsatt and Briggs in accordance with Village policy of the home
owner being responsible for the water line from his home to the Village water main.
RENWICK CREEK CROSSING AT HIGHLAND ROAD
With the frost out of the ground, more fill and stone have been placed in around
the wing wall cribbing, but it is still early to complete the landscaping job.
Report of Zoning Officer
PLEASANT GROVE LANE
Lagrand Chase requests Board permission to construct the last house in his sub-
division and will present his case at the April meeting.
Professor Cowan
Has applied to the Z.B.A. for an appeal to the Zoning Officer's interpretation that
he is in violation of the zoning ordinance.
No zoning or road opening permits have been issued since the last Board meeting.
ROSE'ITI ASSOCIATION RESTAURANT
Was inspected and found to comply with the conditions of the original permit issued
to operate so a zoning permit was issued under the same terms for a second 5 yr. period.
