Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights Re: Fire Chief's Report for the month of February 1982 The Fire Department had a very busy month of February. We responded to 11 fire calls which ranged from a working house fire to 3 Mutual Aid calls to assist other departments. There were 2 false alarms, 1 pot on a stove,l chimney, 1 electric short, 1 gas leak, and 1 furnace malfunction. There were 4 incident calls during the month which included check a flooded cellar, a smoking light ballast, odor of sewer gas, and assist the Police Department. The Rescue Squad also responded 11 times during the month. These calls Included 2 Cardiac, 2 Person down, 2 Difficulty breathing, 1 hip injury, 1 leg injury, 1 head injury, 1 motor vehicle accident, and 1 chest pain. The month's response for fire calls caused a total of 141 men to spend 144 hours and 50 minutes of man hours at fire calls. The Rescue Squad spent an additional 36 hours and 23 minutes of man hours at rescue calls. Also were 50 minutes spent by 8 people to investigate incident calls. I am experimenting with some storm windows in the fire house on the windows in the back of the truck bays. So far the results show that something can and should be done for next winter. We are open for suggestions on what could be done along this line. Respectfully submitted, Francis L. Miller Fire Chief „//ELI' PREVENT" FIRES"
